What song was the BEST song on R40?

What was the ONE song this tour that just made you go, "YES!!!!!" more than all the other ones?

For me, of course, it was Xanadu. Ten-plus minutes of Xanadu. Epicness to the extreme!

I could never decide, but Natural Science was perhaps the most memorable.

Of course when they broke into Cygnus X-1 I did have that exact "Yes!" moment.

As great as they all are and as much as I loved hearing the obscure songs they played, I got really excited for Distant Early Warning. It's weird, because I love the song, and I have never seen it live while actually knowing the song. I saw it on S&A Tour, but I didn't really know 3/4 of the songs, because I wasn't a big fan of the band yet.

So even though I hadn't seen it live as a fan of the song, I still wasn't too excited to hear it live. But I saw it on 3 of the 4 shows I saw, and I sang my ass off to the chorus all 3 times and the crowd just really enjoyed it. Even my co worker who came with me to the Montreal show who isn't a fan of anything post Moving Pictures loved it live. It just has a certain energy about it.

Seeing it at MSG in New York was phenomenal. I was singing at the top of my lungs, but yet I could hear the entire crowd singing over me, and even over Geddy. I stopped singing for a moment, closed my eyes and just listened to the crowd singing that chorus with the brilliant musical mastery. It was an amazing outer body experience.

Since I'm in Europe , I didn't get to see them, but that they brought out Jacob's Ladder at last was awesome. Not to forget Losing It! Edited by Freeze

Opening with The Anarchist was f***ing awesome.

Then getting How It Is, The Main Monkey Business, Between The Wheels, Hemispheres, Xanadu, and Anthem was amazing.

Too hard to narrow it down to one.

I'd say What You're Doing, just because I never in all of my life would possibly imagine that I would see it live, especially since it's one of my favorite RUSH songs, and my favorite on the debut.

However, I was most excited to see The Camera Eye. Then after that, it would be Xanadu.

However, The Anarchist was a killer opener. As overplayed as it is, I loved The Spirit of Radio, especially coming out of The Camera Eye.

Xanadu with the doublenecks. Never thought I'd ever see it again after Geddy complained about the weight of it.

Jacob's Ladder. I always thought it would come off flat in concert, but boy was I wrong. The best "vault" moment RUSH has ever provided.

Agreed. As much as I was glued to the stage from RTB on this was something altogether different and special. Mesmerizing would be the word I would use...

The light show had a bit to do with that. It was gorgeous.

Jacob's Ladder for me also. They really did an awesome job on it, including the lighting. Xanadu was the peak of the show in many ways, but they had at least played parts of it on recent tours. JL felt more special.

Agreed 100%. That was a big part of the whole wonderful package that that song was live. We'll see how it plays out you know when in a few months or so... :)
