Hahaha! Thanks Goose buddy! Glad you get my sense of humor! I am not DRUNK!

The last time I smoked a joint was at Whitesnake in 1990 with Steve Vai on guitar. It put me to fuckking sleep and I missed most of the show. PISSED ME OFF!

Never touched that shit again.

Rock and roll and drumming are my drugs of choice! Ok ok I do love beer.

CHEERS!!!

So I have a little Rush secret and I will type it on this thread so only the few of you who read this thread will like this Rush tidbit since it actually has something to do with Alex.

Now if memory serves me correctly I think most of you might already know this so I will ask it in a question form and if no one gets it then I will type it.

When Alex checks in to a hotel do you know what name he checks in under???????

Earl, I saw Vai with David Lee Roth on the Eat 'Em A Smile and Skyscraper tours and he was a huge disappointment - probably the worst "guitar hero" I have ever seen live ( and I've seen a bunch )

You didn't miss anything, as I;m sure his noodling in Whitesnake wasn't much better

Honestly, there are about a hundred other Rush songs I'd rather hear in LA than Losing It.

LOL, I honestly I have no idea why that song is so revered. And I love Signals. It's my fave Rush album. There are at least 5 other Signals tracks I'd rather hear than Losing It.

I have heard rumblings that the Forum gig will get an outta the blue shocker one-time-only deep cut. I've even heard what it might be. Hint. C.P. ;)

Because it's an awesome song. Great lyrics, violin is haunting and soulful, and it's totally F'n relevant for this tour, even if it should have been played last tour.

Hahaha I love your take on that gig because I saw both tours too! I was 18 in 1986 and 20 in 1988. Were those the right years? I LOVED IT!

I remember Vai and Sheehan doing a guitar bass war.

David did "California Girls" while riding a surfboard over the crowd!! I was in Heaven but I get the noodling aspect.

Vai' solo stuff is immensely overrated except for his break out album "Passion And Warfare."

Hey Lucas, what the fukk do I know?

I'm a John Sykes, Adrian Vandenberg guy.

Anyone who plays the guitar with a "VAN" in their name has to be fukking great! LOL!

HAHAHA! Oh shit man timing is everything! I just ripped your Guitar Hero!

Don't get me wrong I love Vai but man he took guitar lessons from Joe Satriani. So Joe Cool must be better right?

I like Vai's work with Zappa.

Earl, Jake E Lee has got to be one of the most underrated guitarists ever .... Imagine having to replace Randy Rhoads, tour w/ Ozzy, write an album of material, etc

He comes up with this - unfucking believable ....

Bard! But I just explained why it is so important to the R40 Tour!

It totally makes sense why that play this song because the lyrical content know relates to them!!!

I'm surprised they picked "Lakeside Park" over "I Think I'm Going Bald!"

I'm let's get down to business real RUSH FANS!

The boys wrote "I Think I'm Going Bald" as a Kiss Homage to "Goin' Blind!"

So with this KISS standee on stage I assumed they would play that one instead.

Of course "Lakeside" made me cream in my Rush genes I mean jeans!!!

Lucas! You know your shit buddy! But guess what????

I'm a distant friend to Brad Gillis thanks to my wife's side of the family.

My brother in law's sister had a baby with Brad Gillis. Her name is Montana and she is a model these days.

Anyway I was able to sit down with Brad over pizza one day and we talked for a few hours.

Brad is a great fuckking guy.

I'm bringing this up because he told that everything you read about him locking himself in his room for 24 hours to learn all of the Sabbath and Randy stuff was TRUE!

All of us know that Brad was on the "Speak Of The Devil" album. There is actually a dvd of Brad in Ozzy playing a lot of everything.

Brad is also underrated like Jake but my God Jake is one of my all time faves. He shreds on "Bark" but my God I love "The Ultimate Sin."

Glorious RIFFS!!! Glorious solos!!!!

"Voodoo Highway" baby!

I could go on and on and on.

Perhaps Jim will move this thread to the MOTS section! LOL!!!!!

I could talk rock until my cock sock falls off the mock flock dock.

I smoke two joints in the afternoon, it makes me feel alright."
