Aikenrooster
Bowlcity is the man for starting this thread....just sayin' I'm a bbq ho...unashamedly. Texas has it good, as does Memphis and KC. Western NC/East TN has it's own Appalachian thing. Texas wins most of the time in my book!Excuse me. South Carolina is the birthplace of bbq. We have 4 distinct types of bbq sauce in the state, and people will only eat their sauce. You got vinegar based, mustard based, tomato based, and ketchup based. I'll admit, we don't seem to have as many bbq joints as Alabama. They have as many as they have churches. Alabama has the white bbq sauce in Decatur. The Analog Cub
We made these last week. Bacon crusted ribs. Devil's Spit, beer, and southern comfort make up the sauce, with extra brown sugar and molasses to make the bacon stick better. This was amazing.

When my daughter was 5, she had a knack for touching everything. We were having dinner at Famous Dave's, and she was playing with the BBQ sauce squeeze bottles. My wife told her to knock it off. A minute later, I hear her scream, and I look up and it appears that she has blood coming out of her ocular cavity. Well, it wasn't blood. The dumb ass was looking right into the bottle of DEVIL SPIT, and she gave it a good squeeze, and shot Devil Spit right into her eye. She stopped playing with the BBQ sauce bottles after that. Finding IT
Another BBQ thread? To be honest, I didn't dig far. Clicked on "view more topics" once and didn't see any dedicated BBQ threads. I started one a few years back. I used to travel a lot on business and had a BBQ Blog up until 2008 with 60 or so places I had visited over the years. .
