Not hard for me.

Power Windows.

But I do expect CA to win this one.

CA easily.

PoW is where I started to lose interest in the band. Still enjoyed The Big Money and Manhattan Project but was wondering how the band who couldn't miss from 2112 or at the very least AFTK had turned into a .250 hitter so quickly.

Clockwork Angels for me.

And I am a big fan of Power Windows- much bigger than I used to be, anyway. Outside the context of whatever people's judgments are about the synth sound continuing to be so prominent...leaving all that aside...the songs are extremely well-written, and the musicianship is top-notch.

But I do like CA more, and I feel it's a grander statement.

Power was much easier to digest than HyF, which is funny cuz Fire has less synths (?)

Still Power has some classics, Territories, GD, Marathon. But It was tough to digest so much Power on the CA tour. CA also! That should be the "Tough to Digest Tour!" These two records are tied together!

If CA was a clean record, this would be a much easier vote. Its not just the lack of clarity, when ambient keys are blocking Lifeson for no apparent reason, and it often sounds like they left the tea on the kettle, it makes me run low on the Advil, despite the abundance of good songs.

Here's what I have to say to that --> :codger:

Haha!

To each his/her own...but I had to put my two cents in. Again.

That's four cents, then...so far...

For me, it's on the mantle of perfect albums produced by Rush. Clockwork Angels gets the nod over PoW based on length...simply more greatness based on album length.

Next to CA, this record gets more playing time than any other album.

Ditto here. I didn't care for PoW at all until I saw the songs live last tour.

Power Windows for me, even though I really like CA, PoW came out during a time in my life where I was really leaning on music, and Rush specifically, to keep me from "doing bad things" to myself. The "Synth years" albums all sort of kept me afloat when things were not going the way I wanted in life.

All has been better for many years, and now I listen to those albums with a different mindset and it makes them even better in most cases

two years ago I would have voted CA but now PoW edges it out

The bloom wore off the rose aye? Agree with you obviously...

Easy one for me. I don't give PoW much thought after a few songs...CA in a trounce.

To paraphrase Eugene Levy, three good songs does not an album make. CA is several times better than PoW.

For me, PoW wins this one pretty easily. It sounds so good through headphones (clean with nice instrument separation), the playing is top notch and the lyrics are quite good. It's a shame Geddy went a bit overboard bathing it in so much synth. It took me until the last tour to realize what a rockin' song "Grand Designs" actually is.

CA showed them getting back on the right track, but has more filler and is a fatiguing album to listen to. I hope they continue in the more progressive direction on future albums, but with a good producer.

BlueJ, a difference in crowd energy this tour? Lack of enthusiasm last tour? Lackluster ticket sales last tour?

Good songs on CA no doubt, too much loose noise, alot of it is strings. Sometimes CA sounds like a drifting radio station

Production aside it gets very boring. SA had great production and that albums bores me to death.
