Leave Geddy alone!

Leave Geddys Thing Alone?

Guy's been bustin' his hump to deliver the most bitchinest singing to millions of Rush fans and now just because he's a little older and struggling with the notes and articulation, everybody's comparing him to some Alpine sheep-herder. I mean really. You all need some perspective.

73, a warning point to the next person who uses the word "yodel." That'll fix their little red wagons.

The "yodel" I wrote above doesn't count. Neither does the one at the start of this line.

It shall henceforth be referred to as the "Y" word. :D

I'm beginning to think Feedback might be the safest place to hang on TRF.

A couple of your epic polls and we will be back in business. "They" will come but they appear to be "coming" all over the board so here is a nice place for sure. My polls sucked but yours always draw a crowd... Edited by Narps

You have also referred to Lee as being "mush mouthed"; however, this and yodelling are mutually exclusive qualities. You can't have it both ways. Mush-mouthed speakers are physically incapable of yodelling, and yodellers are too dexterous and articulate to be labelled as mush-mouthed. What you are referring to as "yodeling" is really just the occasional squeak caused by the attempt to sound notes of a certain pitch through a larynx that has changed over time, or which has been damaged through years of the best damned bitchinest glorious melodic scream-singing that's ever been. Just sayin.

There were a nice mix of vocal styles on PW and MP, which at times sounded more like "singing" (typical, stereotypical) than the older albums, imho!

That said, I love the raw, throat-clearing wail that he has on the debut. rawk!

The guy sure can sing tho, and seems to have relative if not perfect pitch. A ridiculously talented musician.

:)
