For theses who like me, are excited and grateful for a new :rush: Tour..... enjoy and have fun cos it is the last time we see our boys in action! :7up:

And for those who are so anal about everything RUSH does or do whether it's the Set-List, Stage and what not, stay home and watch and old DVD/VHS or Bootleg Audio. :bitchslap:

Going to the last Rush Tour should be fun and being grateful and not worrying what YOU want to hear, last time I checked it's a Concert with a lot of Rush and casual Fans. They have to play for everyone whether it's there first time or there 100th time. Some songs they have to play because it's popular for those who attending the Concert for the 1st time or enjoying hearing it for the 50th time. As for the Set-list I think it will be 50/50 of what Fans want to hear for the last time and throw in a couple of deep cuts for the die-hard fans, but one has to remember like a race where you have to pace yourself etc... so with Ged's voice and Neil's arms, I'm sure they're picking songs that won't do damage to either of them for the 2 plus hours they'll play on this Tour and pacing themselves through out the show, So some song will make the cut for one reason or another and some won't due to there reason not to play any more.

So what I'm getting at is don't sweet the small stuff just go to the Concert and enjoy for what it is, because it's the last time you'll see and hear :rush:

^^^^guy gets it.

Peeps on both sides of the setlist debate gotta chill a bit until Friday at earliest and really Sunday TBH.

As somebody astutely pointed out earlier there are many songs on the list we've seen that are similar lengths so they could easily be rotated.

There's no guarantee anybody will see JL and TCE on the same night (or any other combinations of songs you can think of)

By this time Friday night the first show will be wrapping up and we'll be able to have a much better feel for where the band is taking this tour.

Great point. Especially those longer songs... they may rotate them so each audience gets x amount of "old proggy goodness" :) Works for me.

I agree. It'll pay off if you can see them for both set lists, or they may have three. It'll be fun watching it unfold. It'll be like this:

Why should having high standards and expectations (outside of Geds physical limitation) be considered as whining? Many of u are like dogs happy to get any scrap thrown ur way and Rush takes advantage of this fact. U guys in turn are partially responsible for the compromised, schit setlists settled on over the past 10 yrs.

Blah blah blah...

Wow, bullied by TM graphics.

The only place you'll ever see Bacchus Plateau is Archer.

And Xanadu is gonna take a last second miracle to see the light of day ever again.

To be able to be soothed by The Wreckers for that horror TM, well that says alot.

Without the 70s material, none of us are here, period.

No pretty TM graphics, no pretty TM stories.

Blah blah.

I know I had to take my dog for walkies when he heard By-tor and Dog Years were not in the setlist. He felt better when he heard there were two songs from Signals

I picture your dog wearing a sweater...am I accurate?

I'm an ass for not having bottom-level standards? Sorry, but w/o having individuals with the highest of standards Rush would have disappeared into obscurity after their debut album.

There's a difference between having high standards and being realistic. For some of us, the reality is that these guys are in their sixties, have physical limitations to various degrees, and not be as emotionally involved with being a touring musician as they were 10 or even 5 years ago.

I can relate to a degree.

I've been involved with baseball since I was 8. For 39 years, I have been a player, manager, & a league official. This season, for the first time in 18 years, I'm not coaching. I just don't have that passion I feel one should possess to be the best one can be. I took on an administrative role on the district level after 17 years as a league official because I just didn't feel the need to it any more.

The point is, I couldn't perform those roles to my own expectations any more so I dropped one and transitioned into something else. I still love the game, as much as I did when I was 8. However, the way I love has changed. I want to take time to do other things; take walks with my wife, play with our puppy, focus on my almost adult children as they make this transition.

Priorities change.

The passion for creating and playing music has withered and been replaced by the passion for acquiring excessive amounts of currency. That's the only motivation that exists for them. They aren't touring for ANY other reason.

Clockwork Angels, a masterpiece, proves you wrong. Creative on every level. It sounds different than anything that came before it. Their heaviest album ever.

So what if they wanna make some coin? God bless 'em

I consider that album to be a steaming pile of chit. Not even a shadow of the brilliance and excellence of the earlier years. I really have to wonder if some of u have burned yourselves out a bit.

This is when the band was at their creative pinnacle. These even were the least least favorite albums on TRF!

Fans have responded to the following extremely challenging vocal tunes enthusiastically live, as Ged had learned to adjust vocals for,

Temples of Syrinx

Freewill

Circumstances

It's not just this tour, but cumulative frustration of the band recognizing only limited material for the first three on this list, and usually ignoring everything on their first three albums, except Working Man. Fans have a right to say WTF while still enjoying the show. Yes let's wait the 40 hours.

Of course Tombstone Mountain is happy about the setlist, after all he's a deluded CA fanboy :P

I don't believe the setlist is real though. Camera Eye again? Hemispheres AND Cygnus X-1? Nah... In general there are too many epics in there for it to be legit.

Also GeminiRising79 is absolutely right. Having standards and not praising Rush for everything they do is not in any way whining. Try harder, fanboys...
