So what if they play Clockwork Angels songs? They want to cover their whole career and they're immensely proud of that album. They'd probably just play one or two songs from it

Hard to pick THE one to play. Neil is way into CA, but HF has it all you know. Halo Effect could be an easier one to help with Ged's voice. I'm looking for those islands of rest during the show for Geddy...not too rough on the pipes,

My guess would be Headlong Flight since it gets the most crowd reaction.

The Anarchist is a great song but I really, really don't need to hear it. I have, and it was with strings.

These guys can play whatever they want to play; they have certainly earned that right. But I don't think their audience is going out for this tour so we can hear a bunch of Snakes & Arrows deep cuts.

If they wanna market this as a nostalgia tour, then I wanna see obscure. And I mean real obscure, like 2112 second side obscure.

I can't believe they're an hour and a half away from my city. Who wants to hunt them down with me?

Please be careful with them, they are irreplaceable. They are not planning a rehearsal sesh in the Inland Empire?

.

probably not.

Sure am - flying from Australia to see the final show in LA. Sadly Rush has never been all that popular in Australia so they've never toured. So this is a gig I've been looking forward to for 30 years..

As a fellow Australian that is so good to read.

My first Rush concert was in 2012 in Anaheim and I'm going to see them in July in Vegas.

No doubt your first Rush concert will be an experience of a lifetime.

I found the topic in this thread regarding the "sound" or tone that Geddy has. IMO Geddy has no real tone and not meaning it in a bashing way. I run my bass into my amp and that's it. Nothing else. It's about as clean as the sound can get so what comes out is my "tone" (for better or worse). Geddy runs his basses through a cacophony of effects and filters. for the most part, he sounds exactly the same no matter what bass he's playing these days. You could probably hand him a $100 squier j bass and it would sound exactly the same because of all the junk he has hooked up. Basses on their own have a unique sound which will vary by the pickups, wood and setup and varies right up to the player's fingers. Once you start adding a bunch of crap to it, "your" tone is gone

Honestly: Caravan, Headlong Flight and The Anarchist! This show needs to ROCK and Rock Hard!
