I will let this run to Monday night to allow anyone away for the weekend to vote.

Surprised to see MP out but if the general public buys an dlikes it then it can't be THAT good.

Anyhow, my favorite Rush album is PeW, always has been since it came out.

So, Hemispheres, great album, but time to go.

Yikes...seven votes already, but this is only the third comment...I smell a conspiracy to get rid of Hemispheres, based on the vote thus far.

I'm pleased that my top 2 albums are the last 2 in this contest.

Hemispheres FTW!!!!! http://www.planetsmilies.com/smilies/happy/happy0005.gif

Well, through the heartbreak of this poll, I must say these are two very worthy contenders for the top album amongst the general public of Rush Fans. Here's hoping for Permanent Waves to take the title.

For me, Natural Science and Jacob's Ladder are the two strongest songs on Permanent Waves, but can either one or both outweigh La Villa or Hemispheres? That's my dilemma.

there should be no struggle here Lorraine, lol COME ON.

You're right. There's a depth to Hemispheres that Permanent Waves doesn't have.

Oooh, for the first time, Narps is on the opposition :o

I could go either way to be honest. I love Hemispheres obviously. It was the end of my favorite era. I may change my mind at some point...

I very much understand the dilemma, relative to Natural Science in particular- because it's difficult for me to listen to that song and come away thinking that they ever did anything better. But with Cygnus Book II and La Villa Strangiato, they did. Only by the very slimmest of margins...but they did.

It's cool. Both albums are flawless anyway

As are at least the two that proceeded them as well. COS for some also fits that category. What a great 4-5-6 album run it was...

The intro to La Villa alone is enough. By "intro" I mean the first two minutes of the song.

Apologies for my butchering of the English language and its intricacies. Put the word "female" in front of me and I have no problem reading or comprehending it according to some.... :)

This was SO hard! Had to go with Hemispheres though because song quality is just a hairs breadth better than PeW. But still, that vote hurt.
