Congrats!

I remember my first 15,000, I reached that milestone long before Lorraine was even born!

I bet over 15,000 of your posts are polls!!

And the rest are posts in one Saints thread or other!

Or pictures of your perfectly metrosexually styled hair

Actually I'm too lazy to do anything with it, I run a comb through it once a week if it's lucky!

Off the top of my head I can think of at least two worthwhile threads I started, so all is not lost.

Practice makes perfect.

I hope you're including the prom thread, that was great fun!

that didn't take long :)

almost 8 years on this forum and I still haven't reached 10k

You better get moving. :)

As for my 15000 posts not taking long to acquire, some do it in less time. ;)

You know, this is all electronic, right. No trees are killed when you post, so feel free to post away!

Would 73 be supplying the pens and paper?

I'm a big proponent of the lost art of actual letter writing...but I've found that I've done it seldom enough over the past several years that when I did try to recently, I found it tedious. It made me really sad, that I felt that way.

Nice going Lorraine  15000 quality posts, many of which justly praising Xanadu

Someone has to do the dirty work around here. ;)

Wasn't that about 10,000 of those posts? :)

I think just writing period is becoming a lost art. I sat down and wrote something down the other day that was a couple of paragraphs and it felt so weird.

I know. From when I was in grammar school, I loved writing letters. Had pen pals too in Wales and Japan.

Now, when I attempt to write a letter, I get frustrated. It seems so ponderous to take the time to write. All the while I am thinking how much faster I could type it. Not only that, my handwriting has gone downhill.

Everyone will have to pay for their own stamps.

15,000 posts would cost $7350

For ducky to send 51K posts across the "pond" it would be like $70,000

The royal postal service will love him for it! Might even give him a few commemorative stamps for his efforts! :)

tell me about it! I've taken notes and gone back a few days later and have no idea what I wrote. my handwriting is terrible, my signature has become nothing more than a scribble. Once in a while we go to Chilis for lunch and they have the "pay at your table" devices... when it comes time to sign, I literally draw a picture. I've done a TIE Fighter, a snowman, jack-o-lanterns (depends on the time of year we go). It's not like the signature means a damn thing on those POS devices anyway.

I've developed a hand tremor too which doesn't help.
