I really hate that Grace Under Pressure is on the way out.

Ggggrrrr

It's got Kid Gloves and Red Lenses, which are both sub par.

it's actually just got bad music.

Mick

As does Hemispheres.

I just dislike p/g so much.

What a road bump to the 80's run.

Mick

I think it is the equal of both Permanent Waves and Moving Pictures.

Agree to Disagree. It makes me just roll my eyes.

Maybe we should start planning a party for the winner?

As long as it's taken for this prom to get going, I wouldn't suggest it.

 Yeah, by the time it gets organized we'll have to do another poll to be sure everyone still thinks the same.

If it weren't for poll ranking threads, what else would there be to talk about around here?

I don't go that far, but I do think it's a great album. Red Lenses is the only dud on it, as far as I'm concerned.

I voted Signals today. As many great songs as there are on it, it has Chemistry, which is just...meh. And Losing It. Actually, Losing It is enough just by itself to sink Signals, at this stage of the proceedings. The song just brings me down. And I don't need any more help with that.

That's what happens when you are young. You think you will be forever young. And then, you learn "that you are only immortal, for a limited time."

Some people just don't have the right chemistry to enjoy Chemistry. Great (but often overlooked or dismissed) song.

Problem is i like it when it's on.......forget it exists when it ends.

Oh, it's not that the song doesn't resonate with me. It resonates all too much.

And as far as immortality/mortality is concerned, I learned that lesson very early as well.

I just think it makes the album drag a bit, that's all.

I do too, but I think the reason that is is because it doesn't have a real definable hook with the title in the chorus repeated over and over.

I love alex's playing in it though.

I always see people calling Red Lenses a dud, even if you don't like the majority of the song, it builds to such an epic climax!

I like Red Lenses. It doesn't rock, but I think it's cool.

I should have made myself clear in the post. I wasn't referring to you personally, I was talking young Rush when they wrote it.

I know, it's all right. I don't want people to think that I think it's a bad song, either- it's not.

But I do think it drags a little bit.

Very close between Signals and Grace Under Pressure. Both are nines, on a ten-scale. In my opinion.

Whoa-whoa-whoa, in post #21 I found you to be brilliant. This-this is just crazy talk.

I haven't seen any votes for Permanent Waves in the last few rounds. (I haven't checked them all.) The albums on either side have got votes, though. Perhaps there's no need to prolong this?

I wasn't going to mention Permanent Waves had no votes because then someone would come along and vote for it for lolsies.

I kind of had the same idea, but then thought, no, some things you just . . . don't . . . joke about.
