As an ex Detroiter, it was always "pop". As kids we drank Atlas (local Detroit brand in the 50's) or got pop from a Towne Club "bottling outlet", which was nasty tasting slop.

As a teenager I was addicted to Coke and the good old local products, Vernor's Ginger Ale and various Faygo flavors. Nowadays it's various flavors of Publix diet sodas, but with Passover coming, I'll be hunting down the special yellow capped 2 liter bottles of Coke Classic marked as Kosher (made with sugar as opposed to HFCS.) I will not touch most other diet sodas as they have aspartame in them.

I recently tried Teryaki Beef Jerk flavored soda, I took one drink and dumped it out

That is one more drink than I would have tried :)

I usually just drink plain old Coke .. at times too many of them. I tried Coke Life, which is not too bad (made with stevia and sugar instead of corn syrup). Pretty good and 40-ish% less calories

"Jarrito" Tamarindo or Sangria, with a couple of tacos Jalisco style.

Mmmm....that sounds good. I like the Jamaica. Add some tacos asada or some mole or huevos machaca...mmmm  Occasionally, I will buy a Mexican Coke - it tastes like Coke used to before the "new Coke" ploy.

I don't drink soda pop very often. I prefer the unsweetened but flavoured seltzer waters. That way I get my bubbles but none of the sugar. I don't do artificial sweeteners or high fructose.

Mexican Coke in the old style, small bottles, made with real cane sugar! :hail: And I love mole!

Mexican coke is where its at. You ever drink Topo Chico?

What is really sad is that we could have "Mexican" coke here, if our government dropped the bullshit tariff on sugar, and stopped paying farmers to grow corn. :rage:

I'm still a 6-liter/day Diet Dew drinker. Well, actually I've switched to the Kroger generic version of it, Big K Diet Citrus Drop. Way less sweet-tasting and much cheaper.

Hey, I dropped a 25-year smoking habit. I am so done with vice reform.

That sounds like death. I don't drink 6 liters of total liquid most days, let alone sugary drinks.

I'm all about liquids; constantly thirsty for no apparent reason. It's Diet Dew, by the way - no sugar. I am a walking advert for aspartame =/= imminent disease and death.

Water is boring. I do drink a couple liters+ during workouts, just because.

Also I don't care. As I said, I tossed the cigs. I work out like crazy. My diet is more or less clean other than the soda. Anyone who gives me shit about that is told (politely) to stuff it.

I seldom touch the stuff unless i'm doing a bit of DIY which results in a lot of dust being kicked up .. then i find the effervessance in "a drop of pop" helps releive a tickly, dusty, dry throat.

I probably drink way too much pop to be as healthy as I am. If I don't watch myself I'll end up having like 3 or 4 cans in a day.

Love Pepsi, Dew, Dr. Pepper, and strong root beers like Mug or Dad's. None of that weaksauce A&W shit.

I will NOT drink diet pop. That shit is some of the nastiest stuff I have ever tasted. Diet Dew is Satan's piss if it exists.

No mention of blue cream soda.. If anyone has access to it (apparently it's sold at some wal marts, even) I recommend trying it. It takes like cream soda, but with a hint of blue. We're also in the digital age, getting it delivered at your doorstep is a possibility too.

I've recently switched to ice coffees, so I'm drinking less soda, maybe 20 liters per every two or three days... So I haven't dropped it, and it doesn't feel like I have, but it's better than drinking it every day from varying amounts (~20-40). I'm also drinking more water, even with meals. Water is so good, just buy a filter for your tap water and store it in a steel thermos - you're golden.

When I drink soda, most of the time it's coke or cherry coke... Sprite if I don't want the caffeine

Diet Dew tastes like pickle brine to me.

Diet Coke. No substitutions. No knock offs. No Pepsi products. Give me Diet Coke or give me death.

I used to drink tons of Diet Coke but kind of lost the taste for it. Also it stains teeth. But I do occasionally order it if we go out to eat.

I love Mountain Dew but it's starting to not love me. I've put on a bit of weight lately and I think it's because I've been drinking a lot more pop. Plus it's not good for your kidneys.
