Mara
Had a rather vivid sex dream about my supervisor last night. OK, yes, he's hot, and sweet, and funny as hell. The other woman in my department and I often giggle about it - "dammit, A, STOP BEING SO SEXY!" He's a married father of 3 (and I am a happily married pet owner), around my age, and there is absolutely no flirting going on between anyone. But we're all very laid back about everything in my department - no one worries about "inappropriate" wisecracking and getting reported for it. And we swear freely and tell off-colour jokes. He works mostly from his home office since he lives a rather long way from the home base and he does a fair amount of traveling. But he texted me earlier today to let me know he's coming in tomorrow to work on some prep for an upcoming conference call on one of my projects; I know the jurisdiction and the officials there, but he's taking over at the point where someone has to go appear at the board hearing (I hate that kind of shit and he's good at it). So yikes - in light of last night's dream - it's going to be weird to look him in the eye.
savagegrace26
And we swear freely and tell off-colour jokes. Be careful there. Swearing is "childish" behavior.
Cyclonus X-1
My female coworkers often dream about me. I can tell as soon as I look them in the eye. This supervisor guy is going to be able to tell that you were dreaming about him, Mara. I hope this doesn't make you feel even more awkward tomorrow.
Narps
I worked mostly with guys. Not sure if they dreamt of me or not. Most likely not.....
The Cat 3
Mara, OK, here's what you do so you won't be nervous. When you see him, just imagine him in his underwear. Oh wait, don't do that, it won't help at all. Sorry. Back to "Music of the Spheres" for me.
Janie
I love/hate these kinds of dreams. Makes things weird in an absolutely fun and wicked way. Of course, whenever you have a conversation with that person the only thing you can see is what you dreamt about. If some only knew....
Ancient Ways
Favorite part of the story "I'm a happily married pet owner". At first I was going to say "happily married? Who cares, go for it." Then I realized you're a pet owner and had to check myself. Don't do it girl.

Mara
My female coworkers often dream about me. I can tell as soon as I look them in the eye. This supervisor guy is going to be able to tell that you were dreaming about him, Mara. I hope this doesn't make you feel even more awkward tomorrow. Thanks tons, everyone! Funny story about when he was first hired a year ago - I sort of knew him from e-mails when he worked for another company and coordinated construction crews for projects I (and my firm) did the zoning and permitting work on. But my previous supervisor (female) hired A; when he was due to come in for his final interview she said, "You've met him before, right?" I confirmed that no, I'd e-mailed him before but never actually had a face-to-face meeting. So she hires him later that day and brings him over to introduce him. After he left I said, "Uh, no, Kim - I'd DEFINITELY remember if I'd met him before!" (Yes, I've been here far longer but absolutely do not want to head up a department. Supervisory positions are not my thing. When the position opened up I - and the other two in the department - urged A to go for it. We haven't regretted it). It's just odd at first, can't exactly explain it. It's not nearly as weird in this instance - at least A is attractive and a nice guy; I have no intentions of trying to jump him but it's not an unappealing thought. What's really screwy is dreaming of someone you'd never, ever in a million years consider getting naked with in real life. I've had those dreams before (though thank god not in a long time), and the next day all I can think when I see them is, "eewww, yuck, HOW COULD I??? Why, subconscious, WHY HIM???" I think everyone does this. It's totally normal and healthy. It's fun to think about getting all down and dirty with someone else. It's only thinking about it, not acting on it. Man the things I have had Lifeson doing. Or some of you TRF people. Or my friends. Or that really cute barista at Starbucks.
