Paying on dates

Wow. No wonder some of you are single.

I know it's probably common knowledge that the man pays, or the one who invites on the date. But I'm into equality so she can pay for her own food.

I'll pay for dinner if she provides dessert.

When I go on dates, it comes out of the same bank account either way :)

Do you ever joke about who's paying when the check comes? We do..... :D

I actually paid on my last date ;). I'm a generous person except when people seem to demand it from me.

Besides there are a thousand reasons to why I'm single.

But why is it the man who must pay? It's like saying "I'm a woman and no less than a man, but you pay for my dinner". At least take turns.

I come from a different generation. Thank goodness.

I will let you gentlemen duke it out among your liberated selves. :hockey:

Second date. Who pays?

I really think it depends on who asked for the date. That's your starting point.

It's similar to inviting people into your home. As the host, you typically offer food and drink (unless there is a prior "bring your own" agreement).

If you offer to pay, but your date offers to help pay, then all the better! :ebert:

I'm single because I like having different desserts with each meal.

I offer to pay for everything. And if the offer is declined, I breathe an inward sigh of relief.

Yep. Right there.

I have not been on a "date" date for almost 18 years now. Maybe some things have changed though.
