Still Available Light.

That. Heavenly. Vocal.

HAve to choose scars for this one.

I always wonder why people say that you can dance to the weapon when there's this

That'll be because The Weapon is quite good and Scars isn't. :)

I think it's good. :poke: :baabaa:

I love Scars!

I love all of Presto minus Superconductor, which I merely like.

I cannot remember which song I chose but it would have been one of these three:

Available Light

Chain Lightning

Presto

Superconductor got my vote, because I just be happy everytime I hear it, must be Rush only dance-song. :P

Aww...I love this song, just not the backing vocals...remove the backing vocals of Rupert Hine and I would happily say it was one of my favourite songs on Presto (an album I love dearly). As it is? My least favourite (but still heavenly in parts!).

Will have to vote Chain Lightning...

In the middle of listening to this for the fourth or fifth time in total, and I think my initial impressions have stood to be quite right. Nothing on this album is really bad, and there are certainly standouts, but as a whole this record doesn't have much more impact on me than HYF. However, most of the songs are basically very good and well written, more so than some of those on HYF in my opinion, so really I think this album just doesn't grab my attention as much as it should. I suppose I could blame that on Rupert Hine, but Rush themselves may have also begun having a tougher time writing more immediately striking and "gut-punching" songs, for lack of a better term (see HYF). Nevertheless the record certainly rewards repeated listens, and with more tracks than any other Rush studio album up to that point, I'd expect it to. My tentative favorite the first and second times I listened through was "Available Light," and though I've begun picking up on more positives of the other tracks, Geddy's vocal in the closer grabs me every time, more than anything else on this record or most of the last. I voted for that of course, but other immediate standouts include "Show Don't Tell," "Chain Lightning," "Scars," "Superconductor," and "Red Tide." I thought I'd like "Presto" a lot more after hearing it on the Time Machine album, but it really is much better live, as I assume most of these are. As for seemingly everyone's favorite, "The Pass," I like it, but it's going to have to grow on me some more before I might love it.

On a side note, I actually think much of this album could have done with just a bit more synth, or maybe just more interesting guitar lines. "Red Tide" is a great example of the excitement coming from mid range instruments that other parts of the album seem to lack. Not that they were slouching, but they could've been a bit more "in your face" with the instruments in some places.

I like this album, but I guess for me its more like a "going on short car ride album". And what I mean by that is they're all middle of the road songs, none have a long lasting affect. But you can listen to the whole album front to back.

In the end I chose Hand Over Fist.

I love most of this album. Show DOn't Tell has a very aggressive energy. The Pass is a great song, and I love it. War Paitn is a decent song too. The title track is a real gem, and I wish that they would bring it back into their live set. I really like Superconductor, too and I think it would be a fantastic live song.

Anagram has really grown on me lately, and I really like it. Hand Over Fist is the best track they recorded with Rupert Hine. I LOVE that song. one of their best IMO. I just love it. I don't even know why, but I just love it.
