Glad to hear you enjoyed it. I live about an hour away and can't remember how many times I've been there. Until you've been there it's hard to explain just how much attention to detail is put on everything in the park and that you do get your money's worth in experience and service. A few years back one of my daughters left a stitch backpack in the canada pavilion at Epcot. She had a room key in the pack with toys. When we arrived at our hotel it was in the room with a note and souvenirs from Canada. I could tell dozens of other stories where they have gone above and beyond.

As far as renting in a "generic Florida beach town" give it time. As you get older that sounds better and better. Best place I have found is sanibel island near fort Myers.

Yeah, the generic Florida beach town I guarentee will never grow on me. For one thing I hate the beach, so there is that. Other than that though, like I said, I don't want to pay to rest somewhere nice. I want to see and experience stuff. Sure I will get to a point in old age where I wont be able to do as much physically, but that wont stop me from wanting to explore things you cant see anywhere else, not wasting my time on any old beach.

2-3 days max at the beach is fine for me. We still go see things or do stuff. Charter fishing trip, rent a boat or wave runners, parasailing, paddle boarding, kayaking are all cool options.

Well that is different, but there are three things that keep those activities less interesting to me, 1. They are all set at a beach so nothing visually new, two they are set at a beach, which means me having to be at one in the first place, and 3. Those are mostly hour long activities which involve spending time at the beach before and after realistically (if traveling with others)
