Geddy Is Hot: Mk.II

I'm watching Exit...Stage Left right now. I find it so depressing that I can't begin to tell you. Honest. After watching this, I'm going to pop in the Grace Under Pressure DVD. That's even more depressing. They were all at the height of their good looks then. In my opinion. I used to love the pony-tail Geddy, but after watching the GUP Geddy... . Pictures from that time period do no justice to any of them.

Why do I find it depressing? Their energy and vitality are gone as well as those young good looks. No wonder why I loved Peter Pan as a little girl. Who wants to get old?

Oh honey Geddy is just like a fine wine, he ages well. I'd take a 50-60 year old Geddy over the young Geddy any day. Though I will confess he's never again going to get away with wearing that fantastic Exit Stage Left jumpsuit. :sigh:

Ooooh, that jump suit! And that Don Johnson get-up he wore in GUP - and that lovely white tank top under it. He had so much energy. When he threw back his head, displaying that neck of his, with his wild mane of beautiful hair. And the way Alex would get down on the stage and ferociously play his guitar. He couldn't do that today even if he wanted to.

Oh well. Time marches on. Even for Geddy Lee.

I keep beating myself up and asking myself where the hell my head was at back then and how could I have missed them in concert. But, we didn't have the internet in those days, and I really never cared back then to explore the men and the personalities behind the music I was hearing. I also didn't care much for going to concerts after the seventies and only went to about ten in the eighties.

Darn!!!!!

What always amuses me in this picture is... long flowing hair, silk kimono, and then BAM! Dad jeans and shoes. Hehehe

What are dad jeans?

From the Urban Dictionary:

dad jeans

Jeans that are no longer fashionable and are usually characterized by a tapered leg, high waist or brand name that was cool about ten years ago. Dad jeans are typically worn by aging men with salt and pepper hair who are in denial that they are no longer hip, have children and drive a station wagon or SUV.

I felt so old last night at the bar...my friend Brian's dad jeans were like woman repellent!

So it's the high waist maybe? Otherwise it looks like the same jeans he's been wearing since forever.

He is, isn't he? Out of the three, he is the one with the most energy and in the best shape.

Geddy...sweetie...your hat is crooked. Let me straighten it for you...with my boobies.

What I am doing is trying to get Gangst's attention so she can go get me her license plate. I was going to bop Geddy over the head with it. That'll teach him.

Eh it's hiding in my trunk, away from public view.

I found the kitty Meme and made this yesterday. I think it's pretty funny but I am easily entertained.
