Here's how it turned out. I was given a rave about it and asked if we could have this again. :)

Success :D

I tweaked the recipe a bit last night (was asked to make it again :) )

Instead of parsley I used cilantro (WHAT A REVELATION!!!)

I also added some red onion and took out the garlic (we didnt have any LOL )

WOW WOW WOW!!! Too effin GOOOD! :D

Should have a new blender this week and then some REAL awesome creations will be made.

Man, I bet the cilantro makes it out of this world!

Last night I had spicy tuna (it was cooked because it's impossible to find sushi-grade raw fish around here unless you special order) wrapped in raw cabbage leaves. Simple and SOOOOOO good!

When it comes to soy use Kikkomon only... it's gluten free. I pile on the wasabi!

I'm finding out how many items actually have gluten in them. I would have never thought that soy sauce of all things would have it. I've been struggling with getting it out of my diet but succeeding somewhat. Yesterday I was disappointed to see that a woman from church had left a skewer of Easter candy at my door, that was hard to resist. :tsk:

Is balsamic vinegar or olive oil considered raw? I'm guessing no but the other night I made a salad with yellow bell pepper, olives, roma tomato, english cucumber, and a little bit of salt, it was great. I think I'll make it again tonight but with avocado.

I love chia! I want to start making some chia puddings.

VERY easy and VERY yummy!

get a glass mason jar with a lid, 1 cup of almond milk/ coconut milk/ soy milk (whichever you prefer) 3 Tbsp chia seeds, 1 tsp of natural sweeter (honey, maple syrup, agave etc..) 1 1/2 tsp vanilla mix all together... let stand for 20 mins then stir again and put in fridge overnight. In the morning you have vanilla chia seed pudding... I add fresh fruit like bananas and pomegranates, apples... you can add cinnamon to make an apple and cinnamon chia seed pudding... the possibilities are endless!

I tried this recipe, Ya, and it was awesome! So easy and delicious!

I think the olive oil is raw. It's in a lot of raw recipes I'm noticing.

That salad does sound good.

Easter is a hard time to give up sugar. Good for you. This will be my second Easter no candy or chocolate and I'm ok with that. :)

I know right! You can even add raw cacao to it to make it chocolate flavoured. It's hard to not get hooked on this.

I don't think I've ever heard of a woman who didn't like avocados. I don't like them, but I love guacamole. Weird, huh? ;)

I have found that the older I get the less meat I eat. It just takes too long to digest and makes me slow and tired. I have thought about cleansing my body, but I'm not sure I'll go the Raw Food way. It's too restrictive to me but I see a lot of great recipes here I think I should try. Better than nothing, right? :)

Anyone ever done a good cleansing diet? After what my mom just went thru - I might want to employ a little prevention

This is one of the cleanses I did before I got married. I'm not going to lie it was EXPENSIVE. After I tried a couple of his programs and found what I liked and didn't like I then made my own variation on things.

Last year, after losing my father-in-law and my grandmother I went back to my emotional go-to, which was food. I gained a ton of weight and was eating terribly. I've only started eating well again in the past week or so and it has made such a difference.

Try the Wildrose cleanse... it's not as restrictive and highly effective. You have to drink a TON of water tho. No booze, no caffeine no meat.

Won't be too hard. I already drink a ton of water, I don't drink anything with caffeine, and rarely drink. I pretty much only eat fish chicken and pork... so that's not a huge stretch. I will check it out. Thanks!

If you really want to cleanse ditch the meat.

I recently tried this: http://synergydrinks.com/index.php/products#enlightened-kombucha/enlightened-kombucha-organic-raw-kombucha-multi-green

My first taste of organic raw kombucha tea... I had it after I treated myself to some lovely sushi and I think the pro-biotics in there helped the digestion process completely.

Been doing some research on it, I dont think I'll have it daily but this is something I could definitely keep drinking.

Has anyone else tried it?

I tried the kombucha that my nutritionist recommended to me and I wanted to hurl. And then I tried another brand that cost like $6.75 a bottle and I still wanted to hurl. For probiotics I take a pill that I keep in my fridge.

I used to take that pill too... it didnt really help tho. I think i need to change my diet to raw first.
