The only time I ever heard of Wireless was when they opened for Rush on the Hemispheres tour in Ottawa, 1978. I don’t remember anything about their set and I’ve never heard them on the radio. Not sure what happened to them.

I live in the bush and my satellite Internet isn’t strong enough to listen to the album above… when I’m in the city next, I’ll give it a listen. You sound convincing! And, yes, where did Geddy find the time back in those days?

Geddy isn't human and doesn't need sleep, we all know this.

Ya and while you watch the video be sure to read the liner notes (if the printing isn't too small!). There's some cool info in there about some local Toronto bands, only half of which I've heard of before. I was born in Toronto in 1970 and I've always been fascinated by local TO bands of this era. It even reminded me of a Goddo album on vinyl I've been meaning to pick up here in a second hand store lol

Also it mentions that not only does Geddy produce this album but he's basically responsible for it happening. they were ready to pack it in but Ged talked them into doing another album! Nice, because this one rocks! Thanks again RUSHHEAD!

Who can take a forum, sprinkle it with Crue

Cover it with Kansas and a miracle out of nowhere or two

Earl the Rock Candy Man, oh the Rock Candy Man can

The Candy Man can 'cause he mixes prog with METAL and makes the world rock hard

Who can take Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow CD's, tape them to his thigh

Soak them in the bathtub and make a heavy metal pie

The Rock Candy Man, Earl the Candy Man can

The Candy Man can 'cause he mixes blues with pop and makes Lady Gaga's albums sound good

The Rock Candy Man takes prog forums and mixes in some glam and gets Fish

Now you talk about your childhood nightmares, Fish is Peter Gabriel's fondest wish

who can take Wait until Tomorrow, Hendrix in a dream

Clapton wig to borrow and there's a band called Cream

The Rock Candy Man, the Earl Candy Man can

The Candy Man can 'cause he mixes death with metal and makes the world taste like blood

The Candy Man rocks with everything he has, with guitar riffs so vicious

Marillion still miss that voice of Fish's, now they don't sound prog enough for obscure niches

Yeah, yeah, yeah

Earl laughs at Paul Stanley's Tomorrow, calls it the shit complete with steam

Separate the bits they borrowed from Donna Summer and all you get is an ass to ream

The Candy Man, the Candy Man can ROCK

The Candy Man can ROCK 'cause he makes bitches out of Y&T critics with leather whips from Lita Ford

Yes, the Candy Man can 'cause he mixes Dio with Ozzy and makes the world Sharon Osbourne-free

Earl is the-Candy Man, Rock-Candy Man, Earl is the-Candy Man

Candy Man, Earl-Candy Man, Rock-Candy Man

Candy Man, Earl-Candy Man, Rock-Candy Man

I am sooooooo jealous of you! You saw Wireless open up for Rush in 1978? I was 10 years old when "Hemispheres" came out! It kills my soul that I missed that tour but life goes on!!!

"No Static" is actually the band's third album. The production is so slick. It's a great friggin' record!!!!

"Positively Human" is their second album produced by one of the guy's in Max Webster! SRO Management had this band under contract.

Geddy is beyond underrated in the production scheme of things. "No Static" simply RULES!!!!!

I didn't get the email for those three albums! Incredible!! How the heck does this UK company secure the rights from the big record companies to repress these in a remastered format?

Rock Candy Records is sneaky and stealth like! They send out an "official" release email and then press other albums without telling us!!!!

I wonder if Rock Candy will grow the balls to try and get some of the RUSH catalog.

I can see them doing "Signals" "Grace" and "Power Windows."

Pat! We are related!

I just sent my buddy who lives in the UK an email about that! Why the heck would Rock Candy just get the rights for "Out Of The Cellar" and "Dancing?"

"Out Of The Cellar" is a huge winner for Atlantic Records. They should have remastered it themselves! Humans still do buy cds!!!!!!

Anyway what about the RATT EP CD? That thing has been out of print for decades!!!!

Also what about Reach For The Sky? EPIC RATT!

But yes, "Invasion" is the greatest RATT record! I saw that tour twice in 1985! INCREDIBLE!

RATT N ROLL!!!!!!!

I didn't really like Dancing Undercover, Reach For the Sky was better.

I saw Ratt in early 86 twice when they supported Ozzy. The sound for Ratt was terrible though!

Why are we so much alike?

I remember buying "Dancing Undercover" on cassette on new release day. I was so excited and then I played the album and I was in utter shock.

I thought it was boring and a big piece of plastic poop!

The album did grow on me over the years but still it's their weakest album period. Even "Detonator" was better!

I love that we are turning this into a RATT Thread!

RATT N RUSH

Two of the greatest bands in the world!!!!
