Lovejoy: We are gathered together today to join Seymour and Edna in holy matrimony. Does anyone present know any reason why these two should not be wed?

Edna: I do!

Lovejoy: No, you say that part later.

Happy Halloween!

Homer: So what do you think, Marge? All I need is a title. I was

thinking along the lines of "No TV and No Beer Make Homer"

something something.

Marge: "Go Crazy"?

Homer: Don't mind if I do!

Marge finds out that Bart found Homer's gun in the refrigerator:

Marge: Homer! I thought I told you to get rid of that gun?

Homer: Marge you have to believe me. I never thought you'd find out!

Carl: Oh, I concur. That is to say I agree.

All look at him surpised.

Carl: Word of the day calendar. Holds up entry for conquer.

Homer: God, if you really are God, you'll get me tickets to that game.

[doorbell rings]

Ned: Heidely-ho, neighbor. Wanna go to the game with me? I got two

tick --

Homer: [slams the door] Why do you mock me, O Lord?

Marge: Homer, that's not God. That's just a waffle that Bart tossed up

there.

[Marge scrapes it off into Homer's hands]

Homer: I know I shouldn't eat thee, but -- [bites] Mmm, sacrilicious.

"Brick Like Me" shows that The Simpsons can still be inspired, weird, and sincere, when all the pieces fall into place.

I agree. I thought is was quite well done. A perfectly cromulent episode.

http://variety.com/2014/tv/news/the-simpsons-marathon-more-than-triples-primetime-audience-for-fxx-1201288542/

FXX scored solid ratings in primetime Thursday with its “The Simpsons” marathon, more than tripling the network’s usual audience and contributing to the nascent channel’s most-watched day ever.

According to Nielsen estimates, the six half-hours of “The Simpsons” averaged a 0.49 rating in adults 18-49 and 1.01 million viewers overall. The demo score was good enough for a fifth-place primetime finish for FXX — ahead of parent network FX as well as cable biggies including TNT and USA.

FXX also ranked No. 1 in basic cable primetime Thursday in men 18-34.

I watched quite a few episodes, maybe 50 or so of them. I really loved watching episodes from my favorite seasons (4-8) with my kids and reliving the greatness of some of these episodes with them.
