Worst. Beer. Ever.

For a while I had a Cantina Laredo near work that had happy Hour 2-4-1 Dos Equis Amber pints and decent food, but prices of the food doomed the place. It's now another sports bar tapping crappy BMC's.

I like most all beers. Cold beer regardless of origin is palatable to me.

I prefer Lagers to skunk black and tans stuff.

When you drink as much as I do, you cannot drink beer thats as heavy as food. Some imports are so heavy, they cannot be enjoyed with food IMO.

I also prefer canned beer to bottled beer. Don't ask why, as i have no idea.

I like lagers over yeast fests any day.

My least favorite is Milwaukee's Best. My every day beer is Bud or Bud Light. I will drink any kind and not complain. Its all good and quality is eye of the beholder.

I've drank this beer just once...and I'm glad

My neighbor drinks two thirty packs of this every weekend. He is going to die soon.

If he's drinking sixty bottles of THAT shit every weekend, trust me...he's already dead in all the ways that matter.

Yep. Every weekend. The funny thing is that he goes out both mornings and buys 1 30 pack. I watch him carry it in from my kitchen every Saturday and Sunday morning. The weird thing is that he doesn't do it during the week even though he doesn't work. Not sure why Monday through Friday are so special. I don't think that is normal alcoholic behavior.

I personally don't like beer in general except certain brands in specific situations.

I use to champion Genesee as my cheap after work wind down beer, but it has moved to the gawd awful status. :P

Now in it's place for the after work decompress or lawn chores is Pabst Blue Ribbon which for the price is really surprisingly drinkable....

Can't stand the taste of this awful swill.

On the other hand, after many years of drinking light beer, I have come to the realization that regular beer is much more satisfying to me and has more

"bang for the buck" when compared to light beers. Even though the calorie count is higher, I think you really need fewer regular beers to achieve

the desired effect.

I have also acquired quite the affinity for drinking mainly IPA beers of late....love 'em!

Some drink for the effect and some drink because they enjoy drinking it. I am in the enjoyment camp.

I like beer with meals. I don't eat breakfast.

One with lunch and a couple with dinner. Give me a clean, fresh tasting, cold can and I am happy.

If you want effects, try Icehouse Edge. 8% alcohol. Highest I can buy in SC. Not bad either.

What does Coors and making love in a canoe have in common?

They are both f***ing close to water. :)

its a tie between MIlwaukees Best or Misterbrau

Totally agree!! For me its a 4 way between those 2, Old Milwaukee and Piels (SP?). I never tried Piels Light so I can only imagine how bad it must be but now that I think about it I guess that makes it a 5 way tie.

I will add one additional dishonorable mention to the list - and typical of me, its a little strange. All IPA's have a truly vile aftertaste that I just can't stand. Tried plenty of them and no matter how good the brew, if its an IPA I just can't take the aftertaste. Even stuff like Sam Smith's. The original is great, all of variations are great - except the IPA. That just makes me want to spew.

You can't forget Natural Light. No list of bad beer is complete without Natural Light.

This one comes to mind. It's not lacking in taste unfortunately. Just imagine walking a week or two with the same pair of socks, sleeping with them and never taking them off. Then soak them in water, put 'em in your mouth and suck the water out. Should taste a whole lot better.

A lot of bashing of the light beers, but on a hot day, after a long day's physical labor, or at the beach or on the golf course, a light beer suits me just fine.

There are some craft beers I've tried that have been horrible. Small run, seasonal specials, the fruity Christmas releases, those have been the worst for me.

the beer must be as cold as humanly possible though

A homage to cold, cheap beer

OMG, Stroh's Bohemian-shades of my childhood back in Detroit. Stroh's was pretty good back then, and I knew guys who would get paid good money to bootleg loads of the stuff from Detroit down South. They said the 'necks loved the stuff.

Ah, memories

okay if you are bringing malt liqour into the equation, gotta give it to king cobra. Steel Reserve is pretty terrible. I agree with Michelob ultra as well.

ewwwwwwww Steel Reserve.

I was about to post about it, too! lol. that stuff is NASTY. And everyone seems to say the same thing about it- "But it does the job! gets you trashed!!"

well, okay, but if it tastes like stagnant bath water, it won't get me drunk because I will not drink it.

Budweiser is pretty awful to me, too. ugh.

It all pretty much tastes like crap to me, so I used to just buy the cheapest I could find in college. I found one in a 40oz bottle one time called Big Jug Beer. Undrinkable.

Also in college I was given a free (which was always my favorite brand) six pack of various fruit flavored beers in return for evaluating them. Words cannot adequately express the taste of these things. Maybe a mixture of cough syrup and throw up would be close.

I've never tasted a Scottish ale that was pleasant to drink

Most of the popular ones are fairly ropey alright, but there are some beauts. The ales from Islay are to die for. What an island, all that incredible smoky whisky, and great ales too. The locals must have livers made of steel.

A deep, smoky, peety Islay scotch has no equal.
