Anyone know what Geddy is saying? In The Mood DS

Recommended Posts

Different Stages, Disc 3. In The Mood starts off with Geddy yelling "I wanna see your ?". This has actually bothered me for the longest time and I always thought I would eventually figure it out but I haven't. I always hear "shreezins" but can't think of anything that sounds similar or that would make any sense. Does anyone know what it is?

There has been some debate on this board about what he says at 1:36. It has been suggested, "Alright England....I wanna see all your f***ing hands!" Still not sold on that one. As for the opening, "Shreezins" sounds about right. Just not sure what a shreezin is.

I think they just did a poor job of editing out f***ing there.

I always hear, "I wanna see ya shrevesins!"

Whatever that is.

Well on Ron's Vault Release #5 in Fresno '77, he says something that sounds really close to "I wanna see your pancreas"

I highly doubt that. I've seen rush many times over different eras and have never heard Geddy curse on stage, let alone dropping F bombs. My guess is that he is saying "hands" in a different language. Gealic possibly?

The only stage swearing I've heard from Geddy came from the last Time Machine show. Something like, "a f***ing awesome tour". I've also heard a story from an eighties show where someone jumped on the stage and approached Geddy. People saw Ged mouth, "Get off the f***ing stage!". Anyone else with better info, please chime in.

That would have been my guess. Geddy didn't really explode with the "colorful metaphors" on stage until after the documentary came out. He may be too old to care at this point.

I always thought he was saying "hands" in a different language, too. Never really bothered to figure out which one though.

I know I'm necroposting - but that is exactly what I've been hearing for the last 20 years as well... and that bonus CD it's on is probably the best live Rush show ever recorded!
