Back in the 90's, I worked at a pepsi bottling plant, as a vending repairman trainee. It was a pretty cool job, replacing broken vending machines thru out central Cal...needless to say, I got completely hooked on the stuff, to this day. I still think coke is better..but not by much.

Cherry coke friggin' ROCKS the house!!!

LOVE Cherry Coke!

My uncle used to work for Canada Dry in Kansas City back in the 60's & 70's and we'd always get free soda from him.

Peter Max did an advertising program with Canada Dry and they had some really cool posters that we got some copies of, but alas they were lost in some move throughout the years.

Here's a pic of the poster set...

Soda (or pop, as it's called 'round here) has never been my bag. When I was a wee little girl, at friends' birthday parties, I'd be the weird one asking for 'apple juice' while everyone else was downing cans of pop. laugh.gif

I don't get it - I don't like the fizziness, and I don't even like the flavours. It's just... sugary, but in a punch-you-in-the-teeth kind of way. And as for plunking down my hard-earned dollars on it? No, thank you.

On the other hand, my boyfriend is crazy about pop. He would drink it all the time, install some faucet system, if he could, but he realizes it's not exactly healthy. He once went a month without drinking pop, and ending up losing 10 pounds, just like that!

No, give me my favourite: fresh young coconut water, the kind that's straight from a coconut that I've sliced open myself. Nothing in the world is yummier! yes.gif

I have a coke about once a week, with by burger of course! Other than that it is black cherry citrus fresca.

Anyone ever heard of the drink called Pomac? A Swedish carbonated soft drink made of fruits and berries and matured in oak barrels for 3 months. It looked like beer. In the 60's my parents drank that. I tasted it once and hated it. It was not sugary, i would probably love it now.

I like the taste of Moxie when it first hits my tongue, but then the asslike aftertaste kicks in... 062802puke_prv.gif

Stephen King's book 11/22/63 devotes several paragraphs to Moxie and makes it pretty clear that he thinks it's foul.

I'm a Mt. Dew gal - that's my preference. I choose Pepsi over Coke. I like a good cream soda. I would love to find a local place to get sarsaparilla! confused13.gif

I don't drink soda as often as I used to but when I do, I prefer to have fountain soda rather than a can or a plastic bottle.

Who remembers "Jolt" cola? All the sugan and twice the caffeine.

Loved Jolt!! Used to drink it all the time. Was the only soda made with real sugar at the time but now you can buy "throwback" Pepsi and get real sugar.

Mountain Dew and Coke. Highly.addictive, worse than crack, seriously. I am from the most unhealthy state, South Carolina, and my parents allowed me to drink it all the time. I would throw a fit if I couldn't have it, and I wish they would have put their foot down and made me do without it. It is the reason I can't and never will lose weight. I can't go a single day without withdrawls. This is terrible, but I would physically harm someone if I couldn't have a soda. I don't know got hard quitting drugs or smoking is, but quitting soda is impossible, if you've been drinking them as long as I have. I went 4 months without a soda, last year, and I wanted to kill myself, because I was miserable. I think you get chemically dependent on them.

I drink a gallon of water everyday and try to eat lots of salad to dilute the sugar, and I do drink less, but if there really was a.God, he would answer my prayer to be able to quit forever.

I wish we could get this in Minnesota. We always bring back about 20 12 packs whenever we go to Indiana.

"Jarrito" Tamarindo or Sangria, with a couple of tacos Jalisco style.

Mmmm....that sounds good. I like the Jamaica. Add some tacos asada or some mole or huevos machaca...mmmm  Occasionally, I will buy a Mexican Coke - it tastes like Coke used to before the "new Coke" ploy.

I don't drink soda pop very often. I prefer the unsweetened but flavoured seltzer waters. That way I get my bubbles but none of the sugar. I don't do artificial sweeteners or high fructose.

Mexican Coke in the old style, small bottles, made with real cane sugar! :hail: And I love mole!
