Josh Homme f***in took 2 minutes to start Misfit Love and made his band play the intro over and over like Morrison used to with Roadhouse Blues.

Queens of the Stone Age is the closest I'll ever get to seeing that Jim Morrison energy on stage.

Zoomers are now calling The Doors carnival music. Not every band had to have a three piece unit playing bass/drums/guitar.

The album is such an interesting deviation from Midnights. It introduces really interesting elements of post rock at times, impactful drum fills, their is something very Phil Collins like about the arrangements and tone of the songs. And some songs remind me of early U2 production wise. My Boy Only Breaks His Favourite Toys reminds me of the sound of October, for example. And...there are no immediate hit singles here. This whole album is very personal, it's a vibe. I can't tell how this is going to go down with fans. But I could see it becoming a major fan favourite.

Found out yesterday I may have Afib and/or cardiac arrythmia. Cardiologist has me scheduled for a bunch of tests through May, including echocardiogram and stress tests. He also put me on Eliquis, which does not have a generic equivalent, at $650 for a 90 day supply. Onward through the fog, people.
