I'll forgo the Rush songs since everyone here knows them. Neil is probably my favorite lyricist, with Limelight and Time Stand Still being my two favorites lyrically at the moment. Roger Waters is also a genius: Pink Floyd - Time Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way. "Careful With That Axe, Eugene" by Pink Floyd used to freak me out when I was younger. Roger's scream on that song is inhuman. Also, "Several Species of Small Fury Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict" is disturbing in a "what the f**k was he smoking?" kinda way.
