  1. QUOTE (Mandalorian Hunter @ Apr 2 2009, 06:57 PM) QUOTE (RUSHMUSE @ Mar 31 2009, 04:33 PM) H.A.R.P. The live album that ALL live albums should compare themselves to. If only they made a CD of the Glasto '04 show that came out on DVD. Then no-one would pick HAARP. I am a huge fan of HAARP, but Glastonbury was incredible
  2. QUOTE (PanaceaFish @ Feb 28 2009, 06:16 PM) I had found this one somewhere (prolly here!?) and its definitely worthy of re posting here: http://i456.photobucket.com/albums/qq287/PanaceaFish/Alex%20Lifeson%20Pix/lerxst_coke.jpg I made that!
  3. QUOTE (circumstantial tree @ Jan 28 2009, 03:07 PM) QUOTE (Storm Shadow @ Jan 28 2009, 10:27 AM) I prefer widescreen. http://www.thedigitalbits.com/articles/anamorphic/aspectratios/octobersky1.jpg http://www.thedigitalbits.com/articles/anamorphic/aspectratios/octobersky2.jpg Stuff like that is just too much of a loss for me. Thankfully with HDTVs it's not even much of an issue at all now. Even on a widescreen TV there's still bars if the film's ratio is 2.35:1, but they're much smaller. FYI, That's a scene from "October Sky" by the way. I don't know if I prefer it or not. Good movie
  4. "Drinking by the lighthouse ... smoking on the pier ..." Lakeside Park?
  5. Unrest in the forest, there is. Trouble with the trees, there is. For the maples want more sunlight. And their pleas the oaks ignore. With the maples the trouble. (and, quite convinced they are right), are they. Just too lofty, they say the oaks are. And they grab up all the light. But help their feelings, the oaks cannot. If they like the way, made, are they. And they wonder why the maples. Be happy in their shade, cannot. Trouble in the forest, there is. And fled, the creatures all have. As the maples scream 'oppression!' . And their heads the oaks just shake. So the maples formed a union. And demanded equal rights. Just too greedy, 'the oaks are. Make them give us light', we will. No more oak oppression, there now is. For they passed a noble law. And all kept equal, the trees are. By hatchet, axe and saw.

  8. QUOTE (Ytse_Ham @ Jul 30 2008, 10:58 PM) YYZ --> Pure Awesomeness (what does YYZ mean anyway?) YYZ is the airport code to the airport in Toronto (the airport's actual name escapes me now ...) YYZ in Morse code is also the song's intro.
  9. You can download some sort of free audio editing software (I suggest Audacity) and get rid of it yourself. Just import the song, select the narration part, and click "delete." Problem solved! Then, you'll have to export it as an mp3 file again, so you'll need to download something else, a plug-in I believe. Anyway, I agree, the narration is somewhat ... tedious. Not a bad song at all, but I usually just skip the narration while listening.
  10. I can sleep, and is not posting on TRF at 3 AM.

    Why?

Why is this thread so popular?
  12. I would post mine, but I've been using so many different programs for music I don't even know. I had an iPod so I was using iTunes, but then I had to switch to some other mp3 player because I broke the iPod, so I was using Windows Media Player for awhile. I recently switched to Songbird because it looks like iTunes (which I like), but works with my mp3 player. The only problem with Songbird is that the last.fm plug-in is a bit screwy. But oh well. Haha, yeah so to make a long story short, if I were to post my top 25 here, it would be all Rush, Dream Theater, Triumph, and The Northern Pikes
