Taking my (then 11 yr old) daughter to the Band's full rehearsal before the R30 opener in Nashville, sitting 10 rows from Geddy, and watching him smile at her as they sang "Roll the Bones", in unison, but she with her hands firmly covering her ears and a big "I love you Geddy" smile beaming from her face!

  1. Dumbledore dies Took half a day off yesterday to take my 12 year old son to see it. Should have saved my money. Other than a few impressive scenes, special effects-wise, we were basically bored through most of it. Too much attempt at developing story lines and love triangles. Who wants to see the little tots petting each other??? Anyway...I would rank it as "okay", but not a "must see". My son said, "That sucked" as we left the theater. Me thinkst he was partially correct, and I honestly felt it was the weakest in the series. Oh...and the creepy crawlers out of the cavern lake scene seemed like a bit of a ripoff from the "bodies in the swamp" scene in LOTR, but they all looked like Gollum.
  2. Gawd, this is so sad and heart breaking. My daughter is 15 and means everything to me. In a few years she'll be off to college and I'll always have the fear of something like this happening to her in the back of my head. No parent can ever shake it, you just learn to live with it. I'm not a prayin' man, but my constant "prayer" (hope.... whatever) is that I never have to bury my children. I hope that Suzanne's family indeed gets closure on this someday. What a sad, sad tragedy.....my thoughts are definitely with them.
