  1. It's a pretty small venue - as long as you are in double digit sections (1-17) you'll have a good view. But I bet those are all the expensive ones.
  2. I can't find my VIP Nation password. Need to pick up tickets in Salt Lake. Could someone please boardmail or post the password for me? Thanks
  3. Sorry if this has been discussed before (I made a cursory glance at previous posts). I was staring at the album cover yesterday and the time on the clock is 9:12 - or in military time, 21:12. Pretty clever.
  4. QUOTE (That One Guy @ Jan 27 2011, 12:08 AM) I'm gonna be buying tickets to MGM soon, and I'd like to get some advice from you guys. For anyone who has seen shows at USANA and MGM Grand, how do the seats compare between the two? Cheapest seat at MGM is 56 dollars and it looks like its in the back back. Is it that far, or is it closer than the lawn seating at USANA? I was at the very front of the lawn at USANA, and i'd like to be a little closer. That One Guy... I am from Salt Lake, and have seen Rush at USANA at least five times. I've also been to the MGM three times for Rush shows. Unfortunately, I can't tell you about lawn seating at USANA because I've always been in the front 3 rows. But, I have been on the second to highest row in the corner at the MGM, and it was not bad at all. You may be a little further back at the MGM, but you will also be elevated much more than the grass at USANA. In other words, cheap seats at the MGM won't be bad at all. It is a small enough venue (smaller than Energy Solutions Arena) that even the worst seat isn't that bad. I hope that helps.
  5. Yet another road trip to MGM. Wish they were coming to USANA again, but a couple days in Vegas is always fun.
  6. Great show. I don't mind the venue, I just wonder why they built it with the stage facing West as the sun is in the band's eyes until intermission. The energy during The Camera Eye was fantastic. I am so excited that I was finally able to hear it live. Although a small market, Rush has quite a following in Salt Lake, and it seems that Rush always makes an effort to play here. Looking forward to next weekend in Vegas.
  7. I have an extra ticket to the Vegas show, Section 10, Row G, Seat 1 (Geddy's side, aisle seat). The ticket is just across the aisle from the $150.00 seats in Section 12. Seating Chart I am just looking to cover my costs $107.00 ($85.00 seat with all the musicnow charges). I can fedex the ticket now, or hand deliver it the day of the show at the MGM or somewhere else in Vegas. mail if interested, thanks.
  8. Congrats Woodring. I am definitely jealous. Hey, if your daughter wants to give up her backstage pass, I am here . . .
  9. Just received my ticket from the musictoday presale. I feel much better now that I have it in hand. Can't wait!
  10. Just received my tickets from the musictoday presale. For some reason I am nervous that my order actually got processed until I get my ticket. I feel much better now that I have it in hand.
  11. QUOTE (woodring2112 @ Apr 28 2010, 04:02 PM) Yep, that's what I did, and those row J's were the best I could get. At least this time I didn't have to buy them from you! Yeah, but you were trying to get two tickets, and row 10 isn't bad for a pair. I always go as a single so they are easier to come by.
  12. The presales aren't that bad, really. It seems that many of you give up after only a couple of tries. The key is to keep trying. Just because musictoday states that there are no seats available for your request doesn't mean that it is sold out. They are just locked up while someone is considering taking them. Just keep on clicking continue... Yesterday all the tickets I was getting was in Section 103 row L or row N. But after 50 minutes of retyping that dang captcha over and over I ended up with 3rd row on Alex's side. I had the ordering process down to a science, where I could enter the number of tickets I wanted, tab over to the captcha, and process my order in about 5 seconds. I figure over the 50 minutes it took me to finally get a good seat I made over 2500 attempts. Probably 2480 of them had the no seats available message. The other 20 were seats in row J or further back. But it only takes one to get a good seat. Yes, the message that no seats are available was up most of the time. I threw many seats back as well, not happy with the location. Good seats come up well after the sale starts because too many people get frustrated and give up. Two years ago for the Salt Lake show I tried for 40 minutes until I got a 3rd row seat center stage. Yeah, I threw some back, and many other times it stated that my request couldn't be granted - but perseverance paid off. So, when the main sale opens on Friday, get on right at 10:00 and keep on trying even when it says no seats available. The majority of seats will be available then, even in the front sections, and if you try for a few minutes, you will be successful. Get familiar with the ordering process - know where on the screen you need to click, use the tab key to switch fields more quickly, even put a sticky note on your monitor to know exactly where your cursor needs to be when you try again.
