just wanna chime in that Clockwork Angels is a good fricking album. the first two songs are kickass. period. Clockwork Angels will stand the test of time- great u2 sound with better drums 4 - the anarchist is signals song #9 .. period. Its epic.. help me people... the guitar and the taurus pedals and mimi moog! the flange is back! great riff rock is here... but, they are pushing 60 and i know they can still rip a riff... i heard that 34 years ago... I'm a real fan... i love their melodic midtempo stuff... they already ripped for years....they are the best a that ... but now.. we have the Garden... they are incredible muscians who can now pull back and play feel, music thats smooth and cool... Halo Effect is another epic This album can be on film on the big screen with the story... another strong effort.... cant wait to see them in ATL and I feel we're gonna finally hear Losing it!!!!! and some other gems off signals this year... makes sense with the 30th anniversary and the strings coming along on tour... fandamntatic

I was thinking this exact same thought today. This album is very visual in terms of the story. I totally see this being a movie.... at the end.. .credits roll.. and the garden plays....

I feel they should open with 2112/Temples and end the concert with The Grand Finale! I'd love hearing the opening to 2112 while they walk on stage! Nothing better than the crowd pumping their fists to open the concert. HEY!

Moving Pictures Signals Permanent Waves S&A Hold your Fire

It's been heavy in rotation with the ipod and Grado headphones lately. I think the remaster is a great listening experience. I think it's some of Neil's better writing in terms of his use of words and prose. It's very maturely written. I think every song is well done, outside of Turn the Page, which i think is utter goofiness.... just a quirky, dorky tune IYAM, terrible.... High Water has really grown on me, in terms of the strings and keys, and the drum sound is excellent, along with Geddy ripping it in that one. I've been listening to Signals and Hold your fire a lot lately. HYF is a standout to me, now.

what i want is a man and star shirt without the word "RUSH" on it. guess i need to steal a pdf or something and get it made.... can't find it on google... also, want Geddy's G-string Raw shirt from R30 and Neal's Snakes and Arrows concert shirt... again... just the symbol.... nothing flashy. make it so!

i guess they decided to shelve it for next year's tour.... that way there's another reason to see them for the diehards. either that or they were too bored playing it.... some of it is plodding and simple.... so maybe that's the case. i love it and it's a favorite of mine.... i think it would have been a good encore song!

i had no problem at all going solo for the second half of the S&A tour. i brokered 3rd row seats and didn't expect anyone else to splurge for that, and i'm able to yuck it up with anybody...hell, especially other regular shlubs like me.... it was an awesome experience and my favorite rush concert, because i didn't have to placate to anyone and got to have Rush all to myself! This tour i will be tailgating with a bunch of old elementary school, and high school friends that i haven't seen since those days, and we all have the common bond of RUSH! We all purchased lawn seats, and we'll hang together.... next year i'll splurge for up close again! I'm comfortable enough with myself to go it alone whenever! it's easier! My better half did her duty by coming along for the Counterparts tour...

I LOVE Alex's opening riff of this song. It's just classic. Right up there with Limelight. I think if they threw it in for an encore, it could work, even if Geddy would have to rephrase his notes on it to fit his register....

The riff around the chorus, (I'm assuming), reminds me a little of Neurotica.... Excellent... good sound... RTB type of production with the Hemispheres chordal splash, of course with a better bottom end than RTB...
