  1. Ooh...I know these landmarks. Boston is the Hood milk bottle. http://www.roadsideamerica.com/tip/9509 Philly is the coffee pot shaped building in Bedford, PA. http://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/6177 Newark is Lucy the Elephant. http://lucytheelephant.org/ My personal fav because it's a local landmark where I live. :) Can't wait for NYC tomorrow night. 2. That's how it happened for me. The husband had a greatest hits cd in the car couple years and I realized how many of the songs I knew and started getting seriously interested. So for my birthday & Christmas my husband bought me Clockwork Angels and several live DVD's, then as I asked would download another album for me to listen to and I got hooked.
  3. I noticed that too. Now granted, it's been years since I went to shows on a regular basis (I remember the scalpers would hire kids to camp out in line at the box office) but I usually had a fighting chance to get good seats. So how do they get tickets in advance? Do they have a deal with the venues to get tickets before any pre-sales? If so, it just seems like the system has become even more rigged than it used to be. I think I just had dumb luck this time around getting the seats I got for Philly, NJ & MSG
  4. Wound up getting tickets for 3 shows in a row. Not sure if I'm crazy or just excited since this will be the first time I get to see the band live. But this is what I've been saving my money up for, so why not right? Philly - Alex's side floor seats Sec 4, Row 3, Seats ( 2 - 1 ) Newark Sec 7, Row 20, Seats ( 1 - 2 ) NYC - these were the hardest to get Sec 104, Row 15, Seats ( 4 - 3 ) Jocelyn
  5. Hi folks, I'm Joc and new here. I'm actually the opposite of Mika in that I've always been a long-time Styx fan and, until recently, more of a casual Rush fan. It's been great going back over 40 years of music and listening to the songs I knew and discovering many for the first time. I never saw any comparison between 2112 and Kilroy, but while I loved Kilroy as a kid I can only listen to some of the songs from that album now. I can listen to 2112 in its entirety and not get tired of it. Mika, if you're interested in hearing Styx when they were their best I'd suggest anything before Cornerstone, including the ones they put out on Wooden Nickel. :)
