As JR pointed out we're not going there anytime soon, and in addition to that theories such as DRAKE have already been informing us for the longest time that there are plenty of planets out there which are suitable for us humans, similar to Earth, etc. As we've continued to discover just how massive the universe is, this stuff just comes off as "no duh" more and more. And no new Earth was found, so your thread title is a lie. Planets are which are more like Earth than most others continue to be discovered, so while we're getting closer, we're still not there yet... One of these planets might have water? Cool, Mars has been confirmed to have all sorts of water historically, and today it exists in ice-form. Stop the presses...
