madra sneachta
On September 9th 1995, an album was released which had been recorded by a plethora of atists in one day for the charity War Child, helping children affected in war zones. This year, 22 different recording sessions took place on Thursday last, they were mixed overnight and uploaded to the War Child music site yesterday evening (Friday). I bought it last night, but because of pressure on the server, couldn't download it until tonight. There are some superb covers, including Kaiser Chiefs doing I Heard It Through The Grapevine and Antony And The Johnsons duetting woth Boy George on Happy Christmas (War Is Over) and Keane doing Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. Other artists include Radiohead, The Zutons, Gorillaz and Coldplay. If you're interested, it's available Here
