I hate Primus so much that I only have three of their albums.

 

I hate Primus so much that I could've heard a few more songs from them when they opened for Rush back on the Bones tour.

 

I hate Primus so much that I'd pay to see them in concert if they were playing anywhere near me.

 

I also hate Primus' version of this song so much that I listened to it twice in a row just to confirm my hate:

Yeah, I said that on page 1.

 

They did a few dates on Counterparts tour too.

 

Rush definitely doesn't share Surrender74's feelings towards Primus.

I remember that article from that time. I liked that pic so much that I cut it out of the mag and stuck it on my bedroom's wall next to the other Rush posters at the time.

 

The article was the first time Claypool shared his story of getting drunk off 4 beers (when he was 14 or 15) in the arena parking lot before watching Rush on the Hemispheres tour. I think that was also the same article that affectionately compared Primus to being Rush's illegitimate child.

 

Geddy had some great things to say about Les & Primus and how they came to choose them as an opening act.

I hate how Primus touring here is as rare as a Haley's Comet sighting.

 

I hate how fun and rambunctious Sailing the Seas of Cheese sounds.

 

I hate how cool that one off album "Oysterhead" project with Les Claypool, Stewart Copeland, and Trey Anastasio (of Phish) sounded.

This is poetry:

 

I remember as if it were a meal ago

Said Tommy the Cat as he reeled back to clear

Whatever foreign matter may have nestled its way into his mighty throat

Many a fat alley rat had met its demise

While staring point blank down the cavernous barrel

Of this awesome prowling machine

Truly a wonder of nature this urban predator

Tommy the cat had many a story to tell

But it was a rare occasion such as this that he did

She came slidin' down the alleyway

Like butter drippin' off a hot biscuit

The aroma, the mean scent, was enough

To arouse suspicion in even the oldest of

Tigers that hung around the hot spot in those days

The sight was beyond belief

Many a head snapped for double even triple

Takes as this vivacious feline made her

Her way into the delta of the alleyway

Where the most virile of the young

Tabbys were known to hang out

They hung in droves

Such a multitude of masculinity

could only be found in one place

And that was O'malley's Alley

The air was thick with cat calls

(No pun intended)

But not even a muscle in her neck did twitch

As she sauntered up into the heart of the alley

She knew what she wanted

She was lookin' for that stud bull, the he cat.

And that was me

Tommy the Cat is my name and I say unto thee

Say baby, "Do you wanna lay down with

me?"

I hate the Police too.

 

I hate Phish even more than Primus and The Police. I hate how complicated Phish's lyrics for the song "David Bowie" are.
