Never thought I'd see the day when Rush was mentioned in a political forum but they get a couple of lines in an op-ed piece about all those wanting to move to Canada if Trump is elected. You can read the piece here http://www.latimes.c...snap-story.html

but the Rush "shout out" comes when the writer reminds us Canadian radio is required to play Canadian artists at least 1/3 of the time....

"If you think American classic rock stations are repetitive, get used to side 1 of Moving Pictures."

Don't forget the requirement for long vowels. Example: The OHfense AgAinst the Defense.

 

I do not pronounce "offense" or "against" in those ways. I don't say "aboot" either. I am a bad Canadian.... :(

Hey Rushhead666 - not sure what your post is getting at but here's some quick small business stats in Canada. Now remember we have a population of 35 million (about 1/10 of USA) so adjust comparisons to America accordingly.

 

We also had the gay marriage legalized well before you folks, no abortion laws and yes socialized medicine. Our football has 3 downs, a crazy large end zone and we can score a rouge. Does this kind of country sound interesting to you?

Seriously, why hasn't this thread been closed/moved to SOCN already?

 

I always find it amusing that conservatives are so hateful, spiteful, nasty. For instance, I've never called conservatism a "mental disorder". There's enough room in this country for liberals and conservatives. I don't usually agree with conservatives and their positions (especially the past decade or so) but that's part of what makes our melting pot so great.

 

America has it's faults, just like every other country on earth. But it hasn't stopped being "great".
