After a big storm that dumped 24 inches of snow in the mountains, the weather shifted that same night, with crazy strong winds bringing in a warm front that melted most of the snow that had fallen in the valley by the next afternoon.  Just they way we like it.  Snow up high, clear roads where we need them.

Dear Mother Nature,

OK, you've had your fun.
I wiped out on your wonderful ice in my driveway, and my knee hurts like Hell.
Could you please take the ice away now?

Our Saturday forecast is one of those wait and see ones!  What started out as a forecast of 2-4 inches and then sleet has turned into 8-10 inches followed by glare ice.  We are all stocked up on groceries and music so I think we'll be ok.  The hard part might be getting it cleared- the 32 degrees on Sat and Sunday morning is then supposed to plunge to 5 degrees on Sunday afternoon.  :wtf:   The snowblower is in good shape, which is good, because I think Mr. blues might end up doing the neighbors' sidewalk as well- the husband is ill and hasn't been able to get their broken blower repaired yet.
