Verena
Tsugaru Shamisen its isn't easy to play. Really cool little jam!I'd like to hear more of it composed with instrumental Rush songs. (I think it won't happen, but I can dream, right?) Alex at a music instruments store is a blast! Thanks, JohnnyBlaze, you rock!

I've seen this guy interviewing Guthrie Govan so he's not just a random starstruck Aussie guitar shop owner, he's done this type of thing before.

Native Japanese speakers today can't even understand (completely) what's being spoken/sung. I saw Bunraku once. Pretty cool stuff. Unfortunately, the video doesn't capture the atmosphere of the theater or the dexterity of the puppeteers. Of course, there are a lot of good shamisen players around. Even at the high school level. Related...One of the high schools I used to work at had an excellent koto troupe/squad (don't know what word fits). Apparently, they were one of the best in the prefecture. Saw them perform at the school festival and they rocked the shit out of their set. A troupe of about four or five little 16 year old girls playing like their fingers were on fire.
