Of course, we always choose the most expensive ones, because when else do you have the chance to explore a $10-15 million home? One house we were looking at had two rooms in the basement with a window in between. I told my friend it looked a lot like a recording studio, and lo and behold, some days later we discovered we had been wandering around Kirk Hammett's house. It's in Southern California so I won't be able to go wander through it, but it looks pretty sweet. It's nicer than Hammett's place, imo. My daughter and I do that sometimes but have not been to any celebrity homes that I know of. :) I assume they all hired decorators because the interiors look tasteful. I remember seeing photos in People magazine a few years ago of some actor's home and it was super busy and ornate; different patterns everywhere on the drapes, carpet, walls, etc. and it was very strange. edhunter Posted May 12, 2016 Share Posted May 12, 2016 When I worked for Terminix in Salt Lake City, I had about 50 multi-million dollar homes that I treated regularly. At first I thought it would be cool to see them all. Within a month I hated almost every one of them. They were a wasted hour of my day. Mansions are just houses with lots of rooms. I'm not a car nut so Ferraris and Porsches and the like didn't do much for me. I started to notice a pattern in a lot of them. The husband was never home, and the wife was always wearing workout clothes, and was somewhat frazzled. I figured it was the stress of trying to keep from being traded in for a newer model. The coolest things I remember seeing were an enormous indoor slot-car track, and a 2 lane bowling alley. Another guy had a poster on his wall of a celebrity charity golf tournament he'd played in. One of the celebrities was OJ. Simpson, and the date was early June 1994, about a week or so before he killed his wife. And then there was one where the house sound system was synced to where it would follow the woman around the house Whatever room she was in, the system would play in that room, and the room on either side of it, and nowhere else. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Mustaine's house is immaculate...so why is he so pissed off all the time? Geddy's apartment...very tasteful without overdoing it. Alex's house....ick, too modern and sterile. Neil's house...too white and beige, explore the color wheel. Daryl Hall's house...I like that he respected the history of the house. can't beat old school, glad he kept it that way.
