ESPN - Head Chopping Continues- Ray Lewis and Cris Carter - GONE

Recommended Posts

Carter was upgrade from Michael Irvin. Bring Emmitt back I say. Is he still at "Ditsney Land"?

I hope they bring on Pacman when he retires from the NFL.

Emmitt was the gold standard. He and Herm....

ESPN is so deep in debt.

Is this what it is, they're just replacing people with other people who will put their faces on the air for less money?

I guess Peyton Manning was probably never considered.

They should get Ochocinco or something.

What's his take on the great bathroom controversy?

Good question. After all, his surname used to be Johnson, and he had it legally changed.

One never knows, does one? Heh heh...

Peyton Manning has told networks he has no interest in being an analyst for now

I'm a full on Cris Carter guy, so that kind of sucks. Ray Ray can go.

I heard a rumor Trent Dilfer was on his way out. Crappy QB, but one of their best analysts.

If I were Manning, I'd be on a beach somewhere eating Papa John's for the next 2 years before I tried anything new..

He's still coming to grips with retirement. I read somewhere he was at the Dolphins facility recently, talking to Tannehill and the coaching staff. Hopefully he's not thinking of trying to play for them :scared:

Does S.A. Smith still have a job? If so, that's a crime

He ranks very high on the list of "Those who think their opinions are worthy of being inscribed on Moses' two stone tablets".....

So no more weekly visits with Mike 'n Mike???

I don't check out Mike/Mike that often but I know Carter was a regular guest...hard to say.

ESPN will distance itself from someone they fired/let go...Carter won't be on Mike and Mike more than likely

The head count in the last year is amazing and most were financial moves and may not be done

This does not include the 300 or so staff that they let go.

On air talent changes:

Whitlock/ Cowherd/Bill Simmons/Schilling/ Tirico/ Lewis/ Carter/ Bayless/ Ron Franklin/

Brad Nessler/ John Kruk (Is he still there?)Dilfer/...maybe more

He'd be a significant upgrade. Archie would be too.

Even Jughead.

If we're going to do a proper asshat thread on the Rush forum, we have to mention BSPN. Sniveling weasels who perpetuate innuendo and denigrate true accomplishment.

I don't know who that is. But I'm glad you acknowledge that Archie Manning would beat Ryan Anthill out of a job.

I didn't know that Brad Nessler was gone.

I read that Sean McDonough is taking Tirico's spot on MNF. And it's NBC, where Tirico went. I couldn't remember; I knew he had a job somewhere else, but I couldn't remember what network it was, at first.

Just in case you missed the end of the first round of the draft, you'll find out week 1.

Manning going to Miami's training facility was just a friendly visit (he was in town on other business) as Adam Gase was Peytons coach when he was with the bronco's. I thought it was pretty cool for him to talk to Ryan Tannehill. To tell him what kind of coach he now has in Gase.

I would hope Manning would find something way more special than Papa Johns pizza. He is single after all..

I bet he ends up coaching somewhere in the future.
