Lost In Xanadu
Our new vacuum... anyone looking for one? It is super powerful and really versatile. We seem to have been buying a new one every 5 years or so, and the mid-range ones just don't seem to hold up. I started doing research on Shark and Dyson, and for the money, Shark got the nod. Went to WalMart and found a good Shark Rotator Pro for $218. We bought it, and it worked well, but we were disappointed in the pet attachments so I kept looking. Kohl's has the Shark Powered Rotator Pro True Pet model for $279 (normal price is $429). If anyone knows Kohls, you get 15%, 20%, 30% discount during certain times and we got a 15% off coupon. Bought this one for $238 after 15% off, and returned the other one back to WalMart. My parents got a 30% off coupon so I went to Kohls to ask them to give me the difference... they just gave me the 30% on top of the other discounts. Final price for our new vac was $166. http://www.kohls.com/product/prd-2166289/shark-nv752-rotator-powered-lift-away-bagless-vacuum.jsphttp://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31sjCPPlV3L._SY355_.jpg
Maverick
We have a Shark also. Got it a couple of years ago with a 20% of coupon from Bed, Bath, and Beyond. It works great, and the assortment of attachments is excellent.
Lorraine
Yes, I am in the market for a new vacuum. The one I have I've had since the mid-nineties and it is truly on its last legs. We have a Kohl's about a mile away. Thanks for the tip! :)

ILSnwdog
We have three dogs and two cats. I don't screw around when it comes to my vacuum cleaner. We have a Kirby. That thing will suck the asshole right off of a cat. http://www.greatvacs.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/1800x/040ec09b1e35df139433887a97daa66f/i/m/image_12949870-000-000_main_img__6_9.jpg

Do it twice and get yourself a warm pair of socks haha (I feel terrible joking about this after the passing of my Luna but still, I did get a hearty laugh from your wording!) We got a windtunnel, and it works ok, it's just not very powerful. We vacuumed the carpet with it and then did it again immediately afterward with the new one. I couldn't believe the amount picked up - the Shark pulled out 2x more,
HemiBeers
We rock the Dyson. I enjoy watching the dog fur spin around in the canister like a really gross cotton candy machine. Edited April 26, 2016 by 2112FirstStreet
