Priest play Auckland tomorrow I wonder if they pull Firepower from the set just for this gig after the shootings in Christchurch tonight?

And actually I think this is a regular gig so it should be a full setlist with some rare gems from the vault and maybe a couple of new songs. Maybe they can open with Necromancer for this gig or Traitor's Gate?

Interesting thought. They could always move Hellion/Electric Eye back to opener and then play Firepower later after Rob has a chance to say a few words about their hearts being with the victims and that we shouldn't let assholes kill our spirit.

But my guess is they open with the song as usual and then hopefully introduce more gems into the set as you suggest.

And I was right, no different songs though. They opened with Delivering the Goods.

Delivering the Goods

Running Wild

Sinner

The Ripper

Lightning Strike

Desert Plains

No Surrender

Turbo Lover

The Green Manalishi (With the Two Prong Crown)

(Fleetwood Mac cover)

Night Comes Down

Guardians

Rising From Ruins

Freewheel Burning

You've Got Another Thing Comin'

Hell Bent for Leather

Painkiller

Encore:

The Hellion

Electric Eye

Metal Gods

Breaking the Law

Living After Midnight

Yep, good call. Bummer for the fans who missed that song since it kicks ass and is a perfect opener, but understandable given the circumstances. Kudos to Priest for being respectful in that way.

And DTG, RW, Sinner and Ripper is a pretty badass start to a set!

Yeah it would be cool if they brought back Saints in Hell as well.

What other classic songs that haven't been played would you like to see them play? I'd like them to play White Heat, Red Hot, Run of the Mill, Raw Deal, Steeler, Solar Angels, Demonizer, Riding on the Wind and Heroes End.

Bloodstone needs to be back in the set. Killing Machine too.

Rapid Fire was rehearsed, so maybe that's coming. Anything from Stained Class besides Realms Of Death would be welcome.

Genocide hasn't been touched by Priest in ages. Rob did play it with his solo band.

And Spectre and Traitor's Gate should be given a chance.

The only way to get some of these songs in is to drop some of these other songs that have been in the set for ages like Turbo Lover and Breaking the Law, or Living After Midnight. They did drop Living After Midnight at one point so it's possible. I don't want to see them drop Sinner or The Ripper, they've already dropped Grinder. They should drop Night Comes Down and probably Green Manalishi even though I love it.

Night Comes Down is in there so they've got a breather in the middle of the set. Get rid of Running Wild and play another rarity instead. It's a good song but far from being a song Priest needs to play before they retire.

I don't think Breaking The Law or Turbo Lover will ever be dropped since they need a few songs to appease all the simpletons who only know Priest from the radio.

Whoa, what a huge difference from the previous show! Great balance of new tunes, expected tracks and deep cuts.

Evil Never Dies following Ripper is genius. Then Bloodstone AND Saints in Hell? Killer 1-7 to start the set.

And surprisingly no Metal Gods or Another Thing Coming. Will be interesting to watch how many of these stick.

The next gig isn't until May 3 so we've got a few weeks. I expect more changes by then.

Richie Faulkner has revealed more of the newly added songs that fans can expect to see in JUDAS PRIEST's setlist when he and his bandmates return to the United States this spring for a run with fellow classic heavy rockers URIAH HEEP. The 32-date trek will kick off on May 3 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida and wrap on June 29 at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Speaking about PRIEST's plans for the coming months, the guitarist told "Tone-Talk" in a brand new interview (see video below): "We're gearing up for the next, and I think final, run of the 'Firepower' tour, barring the rescheduled Ozzy [Osbourne] dates. We're gonna get back to the U.K. at some stage of the 'Firepower' tour — to the U.K. and [rest of] Europe — but we're gearing up for the last U.S. run at the moment. So that's starting in Hollywood [Florida] on May the 3rd.

"We've got some surprises," he continued. "It's the third time we're in the States this cycle, so we've gotta do some different things. Some people have seen the show before, so we don't want them to see the same show again. So we're looking at new songs. I think Rob [Halford, PRIEST singer] [revealed] a few [of the] songs [already]. We're doing songs like 'Out In The Cold', 'Killing Machine', 'The Sentinel' we're bringing back. We're doing songs like 'All Guns Blazing', and some songs off the new record, like 'Traitors Gate', 'Necromancer' — songs like that. Hopefully they don't fire me for saying that.

"The great thing about this tour so far is that we've been throwing in new tracks as we go through the tour," Richie added. "So if anyone's got any suggestions on the socials, reach out, throw out some suggestions and tell us what you want.

"But we're gearing up for that tour at the moment. We kick off on May the 3rd and then we go right through… we go through Canada, North America, and then we finish in [Las] Vegas at the Joint at the end of June. So we're coming through L.A. as well. So, yeah, it'll be great. As I said, it's a new production, new stage set, new songs. So it's exciting."

Halford recently told the St. Louis radio station Real Rock 99.3 that PRIEST is rehearsing "close to 15" new songs for the upcoming trek, including "Rapid Fire" (from 1980's "British Steel") and "(Take These) Chains" (from 1982's "Screaming For Vengeance").

Back in January, JUDAS PRIEST performed "Killing Machine" live for the first time since 1978 during a concert at Zénith de Paris in Paris, France.

During last year's "Firepower" U.S. tour, JUDAS PRIEST's set included rarities like "Running Wild", "Bloodstone" and "Tyrant", plus "Saints In Hell", which had never been performed live before.

In a brand new interview with "Rock Talk With Mitch Lafon", JUDAS PRIEST bassist Ian Hill was asked if he could still have a friendship with fellow PRIEST co-founder K.K. Downing, who left the group in 2011 amid claims of band conflict, shoddy management and declining quality of performance.

"Musically, we've parted company, really," Hill said (hear audio below). "I'm sure if I called him up and said, 'You fancy coming down the pub,' he'd say yes, I'm sure. I know he would. But I haven't had any contact with him over the last couple of years because we've been so busy. But I think, musically, we've parted ways, really. Probably the less said, the better. I'll get slated on Blabbermouth, probably, for saying anything. So I've gotta be careful. [Laughs]"
