Picked up the Blu-ray yesterday and watched it tonight.

GOOD SHOW! Has anyone seen it? I think it was released by some indie film company from who-knows-where......

It's pretty good.

I'm rooting for Kylo Ren to wipe out the Rebels makes it more fun

That would be cool, but I'm hoping for the next one to show Rey naked.......all the time..... :tsk: :tsk:

I saw it in the theater and found it a vast improvement over the prequels, but I also understood the critique that it was a little too much like A New Hope, rewritten. However, I think that was more a course correction than an attempt to rewrite the first film. Now that they have regrounded the franchise, I expect to see the next films taking more chances. But TFA is a good film. I plan to get it on DVD next week.

Last night I wanted to decompress after long conference calls to Asia which ended at around midnight. I thought I would watch the beginning of The Force Awakens and head to bed. I ended up going to bed about 2 hours and 7 minutes later.

I still really, really like this movie.

I saw it three times in the theater. FUN film with a thousand moments that make me squeal like a bitch.

Where they the same moments taken from the original Star Wars? ;)

No, it's not a virtual rewrite like most early Beatles songs, after all.

I think that's Zeppelin, not the Fab Four. :D (Actually I like Zep a lot!)

I haven't seen the movie, so there's no judgement on my part. Just having some internet fun.

I think you know I love the Beatles, so I was just poking fun myself.

Saw it again yesterday for the 5th time. 3D version was certainly impressive and worth the $$$$. As I sat through it, one sequence stood out as the pinnacle of all Star Wars action sequences--The escape from Jakku. Thank you JJ Abrams. This isn't the entire sequence, but it's the reason we all love Star Wars. In it's fullness there's nothing that can touch it. A couple of times you get a ground perspective of the MF dodging and weaving. Exhilarating:

I'm finally watching this! I've always been a Star Wars geek, I saw A New Hope in the theater when I was 5 years old.

EDIT: I'm a bit mad at Ren for what he did to Solo :rage:
