I don't get. I am baffled that this band can fill stadiums. I never understood their massive popularity.

Madison Square Garden, sure. MetLife Stadium, baffled.

Met Life is pretty far down the list...who knows if they can make it that far.

I am sure his ego can come up with new ways to surprise us.

Loved these guys a ton back in the day when I was in middle/high school. Even saw them a couple years ago and Axl sounded decent that night. But playing stadiums now? I think it's a bit ambitious to book such huge venues. Yes, they were able to do that back when they were huge but I don't think that's the case now.

This reunion is pretty big news. But there's no way that GnR will go from drawing around 5,000 - 8,000 a show to all of a sudden being able to fill stadiums just because Axl, Slash and Duff will be playing together again. It would be great to see them up on stage again together (if this reunion even goes that far, who knows yet?) but thinking that they can draw the same as The Rolling Stones do live is aiming too high.

No, Axl doesn't do that anymore. Promoters got smart to it several years ago and just made the shows start later. This prevents Axl from keeping the crowd waiting a few hours for him to come out. Today, the opening band comes on at 9 and GnR will be out at 10 or 1030. Yes, they start later than all other arena rock bands but moving the start time back pretty much put a stop to Axl keeping the crowd waiting.

Why did he make the crowd wait? Just a power trip or he couldn't get his act together?

He may have had or still does have some serious mental issues from things i've heard and read.

I also once heard an interview with Axl where he said he needed to be in a certain state mentally in order to go out and perform. If he wasn't in that state, he couldn't go on stage until he was. Him being a drunk asshole back in the day probably played a bit of a part in it as well.

I love GnR, but Axl just can't sing anymore.

He can't? Too bad. I liked them back in the day.

I loved them too, but his voice is shot.

Then he probably shouldn't have sung that way earlier in his career.

I have a personal list of overrated Rock stars and Axl is on top.

His popularity baffles me.
