How much is a circa 1998 Marshall mg50fx worth?

I have an old acquaintance (not really a friend) who is moving away and trying to sell a Marshall mg50fx. I think it is in very good condition and from around 1998 (but I'll learn more about both age and condition when I see it).

Assuming that the information above is correct, does anyone have an idea of how much this amp would be worth?

If this thread had been posted in SOCN the answer would have been "it's worth whatever you're willing to pay".

That would be correct, but I want to know the market value. The guy said he was looking for "a couple of hundred", which sounds about right, I guess.

But to your point, now I need to see if I like the sound and if it makes sense to use this to compliment my princeton chorus. I was thinking of getting a tube amp with a little more growl and more sound options. I'm not really sure what my next step should be.
