Don`t fancy Bryson now it has come to a "putt-off". That tense left arm... looks dodgy in these tense moments. (But I`ve been wrong before :eyeroll: )

Urrrggggggggghhhhh... what a mess.

He finally comes through to make a putt, giving us at least one more hole!

But yeah, that arm-anchored putt looks terrible. They're talking about banning it, but Bryson missing five in a row may prove that unnecessary. :P

What the hell???? I turned it off and made dinner when Cantley went in the water in 17. Now they're on the 6th playoff? DoucheAmbeau must've choked.

Bryson missed winning putts on hole 18 in reg, and on the next four playoff holes. On the 5th he drive it into the creek, but saved par to stay alive.

I hadn't seen the exchange on hole 14, but that adds a whole other layer.

LOOOOOOSAHHH!!!!!!

The exchange was just Bryson being Bryson. "Patrick, please stop walking."

And Cantlay follows by draining the long birdie putt.

Looks like Cantley (-21) and Rahm (-19) all the way to the end (although Thomas could get near). Bearing in mind I`ve scored 48 around East Lake on Tiger Woods 08, there are plenty of great scoring holes to come

Ryder Cup Friday AM Pairing Results:

Garcia/Rahm vs. Spieth/J.Thomas: ¡Olé! The Spaniards go full matador as the opening pairing with a 3 & 1 win. Spieth and Thomas were down early and battled back, but battling a morning of Spanish capework took its toll, and they faded down the stretch.

Casey/Hovland vs. DJ/Morikawa: This match was probably the most fun, with the pairs exchanging the lead back and forth through the front nine. The US made the turn 1-up, then turned it on to win 11 with a good putt and 12 by knocking it stiff for an easy bird. The US now trying to put things out of reach and Europe trying to get back in it. the next few holes saw both sides just missing makeable putts. On 16 DJ hit the perfect drive, Morikawa set up the eagle putt that DJ nearly drained. Morikawa closed it out 3 & 2 sinking the three-foot come-backer.

McElroy Poulter vs. Cantlay/Schauffle: Cantlay and Schauffele return the favor for the Spain-led drubbing we took in the opener, and then some! The pair won the first five holes as Rory and Ian just couldn't find the bottom of the cup. The highlight was on hole five, where McElroy seemed certain to get one back until Schauffele drained a 30-foot bender. Rory's ass puckered and he missed his ten-footer. The Euros never really recovered after that.

Westwood/Fitzpatrick vs. Koepka/Berger: US got the early lead on hole # when Koepka made birdie and Westwood choked on his putt. They gave it back on hole 4, followed by a win of hole 5. 1up thru 9, where they three-jack to make the Europeans even. Can you say momentum swing?!? Well, Koepka/Berger apparently don't know that phrase, because they went on to win 10 and 11. From there it was even golf. Westwood has his chances but just couldn't get the putter going. The match ended with two ugly tee shots on 17 into the grassy hill that guards the green. The US closed it out 2 & 1 with a bogie.

USA 3 Europe 1

Ryder Cup Friday PM Pairings:

Casey/Wiesberger vs. Johnson/Schauffele 2 & 1 :dweez:

Rahm/Hatton/ vs. DeChambeau/Scheffler: A good one going on here! US is up one but Rahm just drained a long one to put the squeeze on Bryson's birdie putt...and he missed left. But Scheffler drained his slightly shorter birdie putt to save the tie at 16. USA up 1 with two to play. All four have long birdie putts on the 17th green, Rahm with the longest. His 227yd tee shot was shaped perfectly, but he misjudged the distance and came up well short. Hatton took heed, gave it more club and landed it pin high, but his ball ran out toward the back of the green. Hatton will have the best look at birdie.

Rahm's lag putt leaves a given tap-in. DeChambeau gives his long bender a go and leaves himself a testy five-footer. Scheffler has a similar line and leaves an easy tap-in, which is given and lets Bryson off the hook. Hatton nearly becomes the hero but lips it just right. HIs comeback tester is conceded. US is dormie heading to 18. :dweez:

McElroy/Lowrie vs. Finau/English 4 & 3 :dweez:

Fleetwood/Hovland vs. Thomas/Cantlay: The Europeans made the turn up 2, but the Yanks have shaved that lead down to just one thru hole 14.

Refusing to roll over, Rahm and Hatten hit great drives off hole 18, with Rahm absolutely nutting it. Scheffler goes way right, and DeChambeau puts himself safe with three-wood.

Scheffler makes a heroic play to the green off a nasty sidehill lie, while Bryson blocks his approach right and misses the green. From 200yds Hatton knocks it stiff, while Rahm hits it just OK from 177. Both with good birdie looks to likely win the hole and halve the match. DeChambeau chunks his chip well short of the hole, and Scheffler's long putt is short and outside of gimme range. Rahm's long birdie bid burns the edge, but Hatton drains his to win the hole!

Great match.

If you didn't see hole 12 of this match, look it up on the YouTube.

Rahm and Garcia, 3 down early in AM alternate shot, have stormed back to get to square - sorry, "tied" ( :eyeroll: ). Two other Euro teams have turned their early deficits around as well.

The shared responsibility format has always struck me to be in conflict with a Yank's nature.
