Rod in Toronto
I'm entering on full Maiden mode due to the proximity of their new tour, so I started thinking what my favourite album or single cover was. My two choices are the Aces High single and Somewhere in Time. What are your picks?
The Analog Cub
At first I thought you were talking about Maiden covering a song and was all set and ready to post Nicko McBrain singing Hocus Pocus. I can't not go with the Somewhere In Time album cover. That is SICK. The fact that it's the cover on my favorite Maiden album is just a bonus. Rod in Toronto
I think it will help if we post the covers here - I'm posting from my phone, so I can't do it now, but will do it later on.

Got you covered, bruh! Part of why this cover is so awesome is all the references to their career or pop culture. Ones that are probably the most obvious are the Aces High Bar and the digital clock set at 23:58 (2 Minutes To Midnight)
Digital Dad
Powerslave and SiT The level of detail on these is striking.
Rod in Toronto
The absolute worst is Dance of Death. Honourable mention: The X Factor.
The Analog Cub
The absolute worst is Dance of Death. Honourable mention: The X Factor. Dance of Death's cover is laughably bad. I'm not a fan of Beast's either. It looks like someone had a go at MS Paint for a couple days TBH. The concept is awesome but the resulting cover art ain't that pretty. My two choices are the Aces High single and Somewhere in Time. What are your picks? ROD! YOU RULE!!!!!!!! I love this question and the answer is quite simple. "KILLERS!!!!!!!!!" Nothing touches it. Not only is this the best Maiden cover it's also the best Maiden album!!!!! "WRATHCHILD!!!"
RUSHHEAD666
The absolute worst is Dance of Death. Which is a damn shame because its a pretty solid album. I listened to "Dance Of Death" once. I have the Japanese pressing and it's still sealed. It sucks but it's better than those two SHITE records with BLAZE!!! I would rather listen to the "BLAZE OF GLORY" soundtrack that that tripe! All Maiden covers and fantastic up to "Seventh Son." "Somewhere In Time" was my first Maiden show. Vinnie Vincent Invasion opened. Great show! I remember Nicko throwing his drumstick up in the air. He threw it so high it hit the giant inflatable Eddie head right in the chin.

Rod in Toronto
I used to have a giant poster of the Purgatory single, but my mother forbid me from hanging it up on my bedroom, for obvious reasons:
Rod in Toronto
I always thought this one could be better if whatever Eddie is controlling was something meaner:
Tombstone Mountain
Hard to top this one in my opinion.I'm getting my boys into Maiden, who are now 10 and 7. Edited February 14, 2016 by Tombstone Mountain

Rick N. Backer
The Killers and Number of the Beast versions of Eddie are by far the creepiest. And the detail on Killers is crazy. Like the couple embracing in the "blue" window.
Lucas
I prefer the creepy / Jack The Ripper type Eddie of the early era Twilight Zone http://www.asburyrecords.com/public/cover/10594_3.jpg Running Free http://cdn1.bigcommerce.com/server1900/fdx8al/products/2741/images/11662/iron_maiden_running_free_single_a__03428.1413508467.1280.1280.jpg?c=2

SymeDeanRiggsWilkinsonFranzetta For these 3 alone, I'm putting Ken Kelly in the Top 5 ... Lucas
Did you know ?? The artist who painted the classic Fly By Night cover also did the four KISS solo album covers ?? Eraldo Carugati It's a shame because no one knows this guy Edited February 15, 2016 by Lucas
