Two lesser known synth era songs, let's see how they go head-2-head....

Me personally, I pick Open Secrets. Don't get me wrong, I like Grand Designs too but I've always found Open Secrets to be much better musically.

Now I absolutely love both these songs, but although I could easily select the "both" option, one rises above the other a huge amount:

Open Secrets.

But with almost any other Rush song, Grand Designs comes out top.

I like Grand Designs a lot.

Open Secrets is one of the finest songs on an album that is wall-to-wall great; a 10/10 through and through.

Advantage- Open Secrets.

Grand Designs hands down. Fun on drums and the tune rocks harder

I love them both. Open Secrets should have been played live, it's a great song!

Supposedly it was rehearsed, yet it was dropped in favor of Turn The Page.

Really? That's a shame. Nothing against Turn the Page, but Open Secrets is a much better song in my opinion.

I think they're both fantastic songs.

At least on the tour for Hold Your Fire, they could have eschewed Mystic Rhythms, and put Open Secrets in its place- making room for both of them.
