This happened yesterday...I took the day off from full time job and my laptop has been running slow and I’ve had it probably 4 years. I went to Best Buy yesterday just to look at laptops and to see if they had the same brand as the one I had (Asus) and they did and then I’m applying for a card and got approved and got a brand new Asus laptop! I pick it up tonight after work. I took my old laptop to geek squad and they are doing the data transfer (which was free). :)

My husband got the other half of our cracked window out of the frame!  :)      I got the one half out, but the other half was so painted in there, I couldn't get the stinker loose for anything.  He managed to pull it out in one piece- yay!  Off to the glass shop!

I ran into a fellow who recognized me from one of my survival and prepping expos. He said that I inspired him to compile survival kits and bug-out bags for he and his family. He asked me to inspect and critique the kit that he had in his car and we spent a good hour chatting and telling jokes as I did so. Time well spent.

Got through some work I'd been procrastinating for weeks. Just couldn't get into it.
This morning I managed to get it all done in a couple of hours.
Thank you, strange and wonderful powers of instant coffee!

Suck it, stupid query letters! :)

Lately I've been checking out the leaked information, and now official photos of the new upcoming Jeep Wrangler!

Quite excited to order one next year :)

Decided not to quit my job today (er, 'retire early') and will tough it out for another year and re-evaluate as I go.
Boss has agreed to allow me to take 3 months off (unpaid of course) every year, which is super cool. Winter can kiss my ass.

Realizing that today is my Friday. Three day weekend in a non-typical fashion.

It's Veterans Day in the US. As a result, Lovely Wife and I got:

1) Free breakfast at Bob Evans.
2) Free lunch at Olive Garden.
3) Free dinner at Applebee's.

To be honest, we're pretty (ok...very!) snobby about quality food and drink and never patronize chain restaurants like these. But we're not ingrates. We're both veterans and are thankful these and many other establishments recognize our service in this way. We had a great day.

KFC day today.  I feel guilty if I eat it more than once a week cuz I have a degree in nutrition.

Why don't you start one?  If nothing else, we can ask you questions.

I'd read it.

I would be interested.  And who knows, maybe Neil is lurking and could pick up some tips for his tendonitis and aging problems . . .
