What on earth is Ozric Tentacles? Why do I like them?!

I see them mentioned everywhere.

I suspected something metal, something obscene, something...anything...but what I am hearing now!

And it is FRIGGIN' ace!

But what is this music? Who is it? Where shall I start?

This is madness! I love it!

Oh.

I think a couple must post them every now and then, and somehow I assumed I had been sssing the name everywhere!

Not the first time my mind exaggerated a bands popularity!

Anyway, I am getting a lot from this band. Such beautiful instrumentals, I hear Pink Floyd, Yes and Massive Attack/Leftfield vibes all over! Excellent stuff.

It is odd...but playing Ozric Tentacles is making me think I need to give sixties Pink Floyd another shot, but I am not even sure they resemble each other!

Jurassic Shift

Arborescnce

Live Underslunky

The debut is blowing me away! So I will go in order, but looking at prog archives, Jurassic Shift seems to be quite a well-respected one!

Forgive me for what I'm about to post, but sometimes (and I did hear this) they've been known to be called Ostrich Testicles

Sounds like a tasty treat.

Shall I bring the garlic salt and marinade?

A huge fan since the late 90"s. My third favorite group of all time.

If you csn use search better than me bump my ozrics thread.

Most consider erpland to be their best

I like them all. Modern ozrics is more techno.

Way ahead of their time. Losyen to kick muck from the 80's.

Check out fr videoes from the pongmasters ball. Pixel dreams.

Oh yeah ed rips fiercely live or at least he used to. Last show was kinda mellow.

Some shit is super mellow.

Buy what you can but avoid floating seeds as its a remix disc

Killer band, met them after seeing them last month. they each were smoking personal j's and stayed and talked with all of us for 30-40 minutes. should've asked Ed about rush but we did talk about Allan holdsworth and Steve hillage

Go see them live and you will be a convert. Or maybe not they are great live.

The ozrics are notorious for being g poor self promoters in my estimation but the ozrics.com is finally functional.

The only gigs listed now are in europe with a few in the uk.

I used to like this band. My God they are a snooze fest now.

KISS BLOWS THIS BAND AWAY!

Yeah i remember your glowing review of the yum yum tree!

Too funny. I pretty much listen to ozrics every morning doing yoga and the yum yum tree along with all the newer stuff is killer to me.
