No Lessons? Leaves disappointed.... :outtahere:

Do they even remember they wrote that song? :P

I doubt it. Some great stuff on side two and I know I am in the minority with that opinion but don't care of course... :D

About Tai Shan:

"Our drummer Neil Peart was in China and had to climb like one thousand steps to get to the nearest toilet.

He made it to the toilet and gave birth to Tai Shan".

Alex Lifeson (guitarist).

:LMAO: Sorry folks but that one just hit the immature spot I still possess... :)

We thought we were really smart. [Rush] couldn’t do that now, because [we’re] not armed with the same naiveté. That naiveté makes you a bit more audacious — and great art comes from audacity.

I love this - and it is completely true

Some backstory behind some of the bands songs.

http://www.ew.com/ar...es-behind-songs

I didn't know the story behind Anthem. (Neither the others, except YYZ).

I loved this article, thanks for posting.

When you’ve had a long career it’s OK to borrow from yourself, because that’s sort of what style is. But you have to do it in a fresh way that brings something completely new. I’m particularly proud of that song, I think it’s one of the best we’ve ever written.

It's great to hear from Geddy. It's really among their best songs, indeed! :ebert:

It took about fifteen minutes for the page to load, but it was worth it.

There's a lot of truth in many ways to what Geddy said: "That naiveté makes you a bit more audacious — and great art comes from audacity"

When you're young and everything seems exciting and new you feel like you can do anything.

I know. I did things that I think about today and wonder how or where I ever had or got the nerve to do them. I wouldn't dare today, but back then.....it's like someone said once - I think it was Justin Hayward - you think yourself invincible when you are young. That's why I always loved the chorus (I think that's what it would be called - correct me if I am wrong) to Dreamline.
