troutman
Just wondering what people's thoughts are on this... I think the show was hilarious at one time. Now, not so much. Del_Duio
The best years were Hartman / Carvey / Myers / Sandler / Farley IMO. There's been some pretty funny individuals since (and NO, Jimmy "laughs at everything weeeee" Fallon isn't one of them). Tina FeyAmy PoelerWill FerrellFred ArmisenRachael DratchSeth MyersNORM MCDONALD, probably the funniest news guy they had IMO.Bill Hader is awesome. No wonder he's also a writer for South ParkKristin Wiig is probably the funniest woman the show's ever had. And Cecily Strong is hot, if that counts towards anything. As far as standout skits, eh, this might not be popular here but Mango and BEN WHOFLECK was pretty funny. Same with Mango and Garth Brooks haha. Even The Californians was funny (in low doses). invisible airwave
No, but ONLY to see those who have been overlooked for years by stupid Lorne to host. Tired of seeing tween crap and Trump host while true talents like Rachel McAdams get shunned.

And let's not forget that the early years had their clunkers as well. I don't think anyone was saying the show still doesn't have good stuff on it and talented people. I think the "must see" value of it has worn off and that's why most of us don't care anymore. The show hasn't had much buzz in recent years, it's just a show on TV and nothing more. Yeah, even the best years had bad stuff on it. That's the risk they take with it being live though. They have no idea what will go over well and what won't until the show is on the air. Something may kill during rehearsals but then the audience just doesn't get it.Or it's just not funny.
