I love Gavin and he's playing with one of my favorite bands right now, but HERB can play rings around Gavin if you are talking pure feel and what he intrinsically brings to the music. Primus is whack without him, good as Jay Lane is, good as Brain is, there is really not replacing Tim in Primus.

Dude kills it. Brain has a great feel, but it doesn't quite fit their aesthetic. Jay Lane has been pretty damn good, but Tim is the man.

Wow! DD and G and me, E TOTALLY GET IT!!

WE AGREE! I'm pumped now! I love that Willy Wonka album simply because Tim is BACK!

I think I've seen Primus like 20 times in my life.

I am addicted to TIm.

Saw Primus once without Tim. I left early. It was at The Greek.

Saw Oysterhead at The Greek with Les and Stewart. PURE BLISS!

Although all of the lame Deadheads were there to see Trey. No offense but that shit ain't my bag.

Seeing Stew and Les though was magic,

God I love Primus.

Glad I started this thread!!!

I played pool with Les once after a Primus gig out in the middle of nowhere back in the early Nineties.

Met Tim once too. Great guy.

You guys know he had open heart surgery. He could have died and recovered. I have him on the cover of DRUM Magazine I think!

HE RULES! His drum kits have always been out of this world.

I told you about driving all day to see Oysterhead in LA I think. We listened to Tom Waits all the fuckign way, then pulled up to Hollywood, stayed at some weird f***ed up Artists colony with a bunch of pretentious LA arseholes, then drove back the next day.

I saw Oysterhead in LA and stood as close to Les and Trey as Stewart Copland was. I was probably one of the lame heads you witnessed in berkeley. lol

Saw Primus open for Rush on the Counterparts tour... They killed it and I was hooked. Thought there performance eclipsed Rush's that night. No lasers or videos just Rocking the ƒu©k out!!!

Yes!

You are very lucky! I saw Primus three times on the "Roll The Bones" Tour! THEY KICKED ASS!

Les stopped the show at the Oakland Arena and pointed up into the nosebleeds. He then told the audience that he saw Rush up there in the rafters on the "Moving Pictures" Tour!

I remember Les also stopping the Oysterhead show and talked about how flattered he was to being playing with the great Stewart Copeland!

It was AMAZING!!

God I love PRIMUS!!!!!

Thanks you guys! I love sharing my memories with you about concerts.
